I applied for one yesterday (never been with Lloyds before), and it turned me down~cottager0

My GF opened 3 in the branch and they said that was the limit, I opened 1 online and they wont let me open any others online, says I have to go into a branch.
One more question, re the monthly minimum payment (£1000 I think), is it OK to do this via the online standing order system, so that for the GF she just moved 1k form AC1 to AC2 and 1k from AC2 to AC3 and 1k from AC3 to AC1? are they happy with that?
Thanks
Yes that's fine.0 -
Open a classic account which has no fee. Then convert it to Classic with Vantage online. Or do it in branch or over the phone.
Described here click the "How to apply" tab.

Thank noh, was just going to start a thread asking how to do upgrade0 -
Id never thought of doing this before. We are earning just 2% in a Nationwide esavings plus account and at the moment cant tie up long term with anything. I cant see that Lloyds will let this ruse of shuffling money over 3 accounts go on though surely? We have a classic account with Lloyds already.0

Well I've been doing it for the best part of a year and I was a late starter. You can turn your existing classic into "classic with vantage" & then add 2 more
and make hay whilst the sun shines....

Cant see the ad vantage
for them though if adding this cost nothing, why dont they just give it to all their account holders without faffing about

"PLUS" for instance gave a decent rate for balances upto £2500, but I believe that is no longer available as a new account.
The online upgrade option currently promotes Vantage and the added value accounts with monthly fees. Plus is still available but you may have to request it by phone.

I did them all online. I'm currently looking at five classic vantage accounts on screen. Two have been long-standing accounts which I upgraded first, and since Xmas I have created three new current accounts, one every week, which all have been upgraded to Vantage without problems. Five Vantage accounts! All I need now is money to put in them :rotfl:
i've just got my 3rd up and running......might try adding a couple more though!!!!:D:D
i dare say they'll catch up with us before long but 'make hay while the sun shines'!!!:beer:0
