Rach - interesting - your casualty nurse must have been on the same course as mine re the strapping! I remember that when I went to the Dr the day before I went to casualty to get it xrayed after 11 days of pain and trouble, the GP said it was a good idea to keep it strapped up. Totally negated the next day by the A&E nurse!

Just be careful on your way to work. Use that stick not only as support and sympathy to get a seat but as a weapon too! xx

Definitely use the stick. And do all the things you're told to. I'm pretty sure from what the physio said that the strapping was because my hypermobility meant I kept re-spraining my ankle. It's fine during the day now (although I MUST stop sitting with my toes pointed and ankles turned in :o) but still unpleasant at night as I curl my feet in which puts pressure on all the bits I hurt!

Finished a first re-write of something I've been collaborating with a colleague on, seeing as he didn't bother to reply to my 'are you working on it tonight or am I' email, and sent it back to him and my mentor. I have one other piece I need to work on, but can't get to as I don't have access to the system at the moment. If my laptop arrives tomorrow I'm going to have a very busy evening! Nothing like an overdue deadline to get me working...

Soappie. Yes a lot more admissions due to falls and car accidents. Surgical wards full. I had to take an old lady to another ward as the one she was being admitted to did not have a bed for her. Lots coming in to out patients as well with legs or arms in plaster. At one point they were queing out the door of A&E.

Boddy - that's quite horrid really, all those admissions and quite scarey if the wards are beginning to become full. Will you be doing extra hours for the duration?

Don't know if you recall but last week I was told the orthopaedic and surgical wards were so full with those who had fallen on the ice and broken bones the old ladies were being put on the maternity unit!!! and the old men on all the other wards! It was dreadful..

Thursdays list is up... bit late as I had Jacob until 11pm  He is so much better behaved without DS1 and GF... tough he is rather scared of OH's feet!! lol
