Most of this morning's snow has now melted and most of the pavements round here are better than they were so I went out for a short walk this afternoon. Could be a problem if it freezes tonight though, as the pavements and roads are quite wet!
I had post today for the first time in 8 days but no rubbish collection still.

Soappie. Yes a lot more admissions due to falls and car accidents. Surgical wards full. I had to take an old lady to another ward as the one she was being admitted to did not have a bed for her. Lots coming in to out patients as well with legs or arms in plaster. At one point they were queing out the door of A&E.
Have done some shredding and filing. Washing put away and cat fed.0 -

Pen Pen - how lovely to see you talking again
Enjoy your long weekend!
Boddy - that's quite horrid really, all those admissions and quite scarey if the wards are beginning to become full. Will you be doing extra hours for the duration?
Dinner decluttered and another glass of wine just poured so that will be decluttered soon tooI then need to do the washing up/DW load (some things I don't put in the DW) but I shall do those in the commercial breaks of the TV programme I have on at the moment

Have finally cleaned all the icky crumbs out of the toaster. I really hate crumbs.
Woodstove glass washed. DW partly emptied but I'm suffering from CBA now I've cooked and eaten. I suppose I should do something about it or I'll get depressed by the state of the kitchen tomorrow. At least the rest of the house is looking reasonably OK!0 -
BATHROOM ALL DONE
Fed birds am
OK, so spent morning sat in IKEA's cafe getting a major buzz on their free coffee.
Fed birds lunchtime
Then bought a new micro SD card for the Xmas present camera and spent afternoon taking photos at local nature reserve.
Then home for
Feeding birds (two feathered hoolies broke into the greenhouse and ransacked the bird food store - raisins, seeds and suet everywhere! Suspects are one blue tit and one robin, who have been rummaging around the plant pots since yesterday morning, particularly as they were seen leaving the immediate area seconds before the theft was discovered)
2 birthday cards, IKEA elk lasagne (£1.50 and well worth it!) and a plate of fruit salad.
Biggest bonus - Snow Watch on TV!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Hi all
Had a reasonable day, DD behaved herself and largely spent the day drawing and making things...I think she must have thought I'd take her into school if she misbehaved...:rotfl:(School was still open...have written a note to give in tomorrow!).

Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Area
Level One
Level Two
Sweep and mop floors

[STRIKE]Declutter 50 emails and have 15 minutes filing/organising spreadsheets/debtbusting!.. see if you can alter any of these payments to free up some cash! [/STRIKE]
Defluff behind the radiators.. and wipe the fronts so they look nice
[STRIKE]Clean the downstairs curtain poles/tracks.. furniture polishis a foolproof way of making the curtains run smoothly again![/STRIKE] Have hideous vertical blinds downstairs, left by previous owner, so substituted the mouldy cupboard in the bathroom. Yuk!
