I did most of the kitchen before leaving for work this morning - nearly came on here but thought why not just fly instead! Couple more bits done but they may be delegated to DH as I slipped on some black ice on the way to the station and have been at the urgent care centre some of the morning, thankfully just a badly sprained ankle no broken bones. I've never felt such pain though, was convinced I'd broken it!
Make sure you ice it regularly to get the heat out. I made the mistake of not doing this. 10 minutes at a time, several times a day. I can send you a copy of the exercises I was given if you like - they are more effective if you start doing them pretty much straight away.

Ouch Rach! I know exactly how that feels! Mine still twinges when I move it in certain ways.
Me too. Annoyingly mine hurts most when I'm sleeping (I sleep with my feet in exactly the wrong position!), so wakes me up. However, since I've got back to exercising and not been driving it has finally started to get better.

Laptop isn't going to get here today... hopefully tomorrow, but no idea what time, which isn't helpful. This afternoon is back to back meetings, some of which are very dull. I think I need to drop out of this one early so I can have a break, close the curtains and put the heating on before the next one!

I think I am finally ready tomorrow. I have been sitting here for ages working on my speech, I just need to remember to speak slowly (easier said than done when I get nervous).
I will be gone until Thursday although I may try and get on to the computer at uni tomorrow to check in and say hi, especially if I have time after I have finished. 26 hours and I can relax :D
Positive calm success vibes for tomorrow.

Can someone explain what Yellow Day is please, I think I know but don't want to get it wrong - thank you

Hope it's ok for me to do this: AnWsmum's lovely husband very sadly died, Yellow Day is his birthday and some of us choose to wear yellow (his favourite colour), or buy daffodils etc to show our love for and solidarity with AnW's mum and A&W. It's also a day when many of us remember loved ones lost.

soappie - no, they didn't sign me off though I think we self certificate for first few days. Hoping to go in tomorrow just not sure how I'll do with the trains. I've a meeting tonight which we finally have a date for after trying since sept so am intending to go - someone is picking me up. :o

ETA - Yes please to the exercises greenbee

I really have tried posting on the other side today, but I appear to be invisible so if it's OK with you I'm just going to stay on here and not venture away.

Decluttered some calories walking the dog, just off to get DD and then when DH gets home from work he'll show me how to clean all the filters so I'll be able to get on top of it.

Do we know which room it is likely to be tomorrow in the list? DD is due a visit from the House Fairy (website recommended by Flylady for children) and I'd like to know when the HF needs to visit as she's going to be leaving a little letter and maybe present for DD ;)

Don't know about you guys, but forgotten how lovely it is to have a nice relaxed shower with no kids banging on the door saying 'Mummy we need you', no husband saying 'will you be long' etc etc. Feel so nice and even sorted out my eyebrows after so, for me, very glam!!!! Oh dear, am I sad? Best not answer that one :o

I will post them tomorrow... if I can't get to the office you can have the originals (complete with grubby marks!) as I know them off by heart now.

I suggest you use a stick on public transport, just to keep people away from your sensitive ankle. It was the driving that caused me the biggest problem and stopped the healing, so hopefully you'll recover quickly (apparently doing the exercises is the important thing there...:o). You may need to try to work from home a couple of days a week to minimise the stress on it. I can also highly recommend sports massage and ultrasound to help.

This meeting is not very exciting...
