  • Morning everyone!

I've spent the morning so far doing correspondence, and that poster of emergency telephone numbers for the wall. Thanks for the star, Soappie - I'll tackle the coats, wash them and bag them at the weekend. Planning a charity shop dash next Monday with all the unwanted Xmas presents from this year... and last...08.gif. Will pack like a demon this weekend.

Now I really must do some research work - just heard that I got my part-time research appointment :j:j:j (probably only 1 day a week, but with some teaching in the pipeline) so they are going to start expecting some regular output instead of the usual fits and starts when deadlines loom... Not much money at all - but anything helps!

So the kitchen may need to wait a day or two - will keep doing a S&S here, and in the bathroom, too. Have promised DD that I will clean her room since she eventually tidied it last night.... So I may whizz round that instead, before she gets back from school and messes it up again (gotta take these chances while you can!), and that means I should be ahead for Friday (or Thursday!).

Now to make a jelly and a cup of tea, and try to focus very hard so I drink the right one....:rotfl:

    And then to study....

    MissH

Thanks, it was a bit of both really, this time of year is always going to be up and down for me, all our birthdays within 5 weeks of each other! It's Miss A's this week, DH's next (the yellow day!) and W's the week after.
Sorry, just catching up. This happens for me too in March/April. There's DH, week later DS1, two days later DD1, week later me, week later DS2. Has been really difficult some years when DD1 wants bday party on what should be DS1's birthday - still can't do it. Now I'm crying. :oSorry. :o Going Flying now. C U later x

Thanks for letting us join you with this. It would be lovely to have a yellow thread again if you'd like it.

No thank you all for joining in with me last year, it was lovely but very humbling at the same time.

Have a hug from me, time doesn't seem to make these occasions any easier but I believe they are watching over us.

Well I have been to morrisons, filled up with petrol, had a coffee with mum and mulled over recent stuff. Put the shopping away, swapped WM contents to TD and found Miss A's presents out. Just caught up on here, am going to wrap the presents and write her card.

    HHC starting now anyone?

Have been in to town and exchanged DD's bag for a refund. Thne spent ages trying to find something else as 'cool' but cant. She now has a £5 Billabong one from TK Maxx and if she doesnt like it tough.

Also had a look in sewing machine shop, didnt see anything suitable for DD as the second hands (not makes I've even heard of) are more than the one in ALdi. Also got what I thought was a replacement part for the 80 year old machine but it isnt quite the same so am trying to make it fit .
Asked about the sewing classes the do as I want to get DD on some but they only do them in the day, great if you dont work or go to school .

    Having coffee then will fly.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
