managed to clean out the filters on the DW and TD but not sure about the WM...I started to undo what I thought was the filter and water started coming out. so I quickly tightened it up again but the water kept coming...not too much I suppose, enough to need 2 towels to mop it up. so I'm not sure if that's the filter or not? (it's at the bottom right of the machine, looks a bit like a petrol cap - does that sound right?) you can tell I've never declogged the filter on the WM before!weaving through the chaos...0

Extras- Sharpen knives DONE
- Order and organise the spices and sauces.
- Sort the plastic boxes/tupperware DONE - hate doing this but glad that I did and didn't take as long as I thought it would
- Medical box - restock and inventory. I'm sure a lot of us will have run out of the vitals the last few months! Thanks to Pigpen for this - found I had no migraine tablets left!! Rarely use them but hate being without them. Why was there an opened pack of lettuce seeds in one of the medical boxes??? Also checked my little emergency kit in the car.
Whoever it was with gardener DH - my sister's gardener does what has been suggested by the others - odd jobs around the house so gets paid the same as when he does the gardening (he also tidied up all her house plants).
Happy Flying to everyone.
Need to do HHE - does going round Debs sale count???
JxI could give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!Shoe love is true loveDebt-free 21/12/09 and determined to stay that way - still DF 09/10/170 -
I've managed to do everything on the levels, apart from the filters which DH said he'd show me how to do. When I said I'd have a go he had a bit of a panicky look and said no, he'd better show me for the first time (can't think why he won't let me have a go !)
I emptied the compost bin in the kitchen which I detest with a vengeance. I hate icky squidgy disgusting decomposing veg/fruit and I try to avoid it wherever possible BUT it was on the window sill which I was cleaning so I had to be very brave. Ugh, makes me shudder!!!
Just decluttered DS's old highchair (sold for £15 :T) and steriliser (£2) which I only just found on top of the fridge freezer that I cleaned only 15 mins ago so house is a bit more clutter free.
Going to do some typing work now but will be back.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
mumof2 - if you put a folded sheet of newspaper, or a bit of cardboard in the bottom of your compost caddy it's not so yukky to empty. if you really hate it you could wrap the peelings in a bit of newspaper each time.
maybe I should have asked my DH about the filters before he left this morning too!weaving through the chaos...0 -
Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Area Done!!:D:D:D Toots!!!!

Level Three
I still have the washing machine filter, but the machine is on.
phizzimum - yes, it is the petrol cap lookalike on my machine too. I usually put a towel down, then something like an icecream tub or old baking tin, in case there's lots of water in there. Then I wash it out with hot water in the sink, or if it's really awful, give it to OH to do outside in a bucket. I also remove the powder dispenser drawer and give that a good scrub, and then wipe round the door seal - the machine I have now gets a puddle of water in the seal, and if it's left it smells horrible. If that sounds like I'm a superflylady - well, I'm not - I do it as rarely as pigpen lets me get away with...:p:rolleyes:
:coffee:Anyone?? Then I'm doing the cloakroom, and the livingroom....

that's the one.. there won't be much more than a trickle of water in if that much is out already.. I use a towel from the wash basket and slop it straight into the machine once I'm done.

Morning all (just)
Benw and Mumof2
Read the following in the paper this weekend (as one of 66 tips to de-stress) and am trying to follow it:
"It's important to think of men as welcome perks;) rather than the answer to anything in particular...once you have put aside the expectation and think of them more like entertaining visitors who help when they can, the stress melts away."
Have been trying to concentrate on not thinking DH is unwelcome visitor...:rotfl:
TooChoosey - can't believe you did that in 30 mins. :T Are you superhuman or is your kitchen superclean and tidy already?! Come an help me with mine will you?!
