Morning! My sister is coming round this morning so I'm going to do an HHC before she gets here - also because I need to warm up! Yesterday I managed to get LR floor completely clear so I'm going to hoover it before it gets messy again :rotfl:

Some of this is several days old so apologies if it's out of date. Also there is a chunk of thread I've not read yet, so sorry, and will catch up soon. I'm posting this instead of my list so as not to take up too much space

Diva glad to hear about the cat, sorry about Tris and Pam xx

Thanks Julie I will PM you

Esmf well done on flying! Keep doing a little everyday and then your house will start to look different!

Soappie I dreamed last night that I was reading your book – it was very interesting and I greatly enjoyed reading it!

Savealot hope your back is better soon

Welcome SallyPurple, Amanda, Saffstar, Melspur, Ballerinacaz Turkolina and other newbies that I've missed– and I’m so sorry to hear about your mum Turkolina, that’s so sad xx

    Hugs Carlsberrgal

    CyclingYorkie congrats to your son

Pillion I hope your DH is better soon. Hugs to you about family probs xx

Poohbear I’m so glad you’ve been able to go out at last! That’s wonderful!

Toots, big hugs hunny, I’m sorry you were so upset on Sunday and I hope you are feeling a bit better today. Sorry about your laptop screen too xx

Bree, you are wonderful to help your elderly neighbours while their carers can’t get there

I agree, and feel the same to all emergency services too

Nikki-angel – it’s amazing how you have more time after doing all that flying, but I think it’s cos we waste less time looking for things! It is in my house anyway!

Mumof2 I will join in with you

Kids are at Preschool today for the first time in a week, though apparently it was open all last week I was just misinformed and too lazy to call and find out  but finally have some time off from kids, which I am trying hard NOT to use for Flying!
OH still can't go to work as his customers said there's nothing for him to do. Well, not much gardening can be done under several feet of snow, really hoping it will melt soon as we're losing money like crazy and tax bill has to be paid this month :(

    :mad:Grrrrr RANT ALERT!

Sometimes I wonder why I bother. Yesterday, I decluttered the living room floor and hoovered it. Do I get any thanks for that? No! On the contrary, the bits and bobs that belong to OH got put on his chair for him to sort out when he got home - he doesnt like me putting his things away as he claims he cant find them again when I do. So what does he do? He comes home, pickes up the pile (about 5 items) and dumps it on the floor :mad::mad::mad::mad:

AND THEY ARE STILL THERE THIS MORNING!!!!!:mad:

    Ruth

My OH is exactly the same. If I put things away he moans he can't find them, if I leave him a pile to put away it stays there!

Enjoyed last weeks lists too, must admit never been here for the new year and it is very busy but still fun, you are all such lovely gossips and remind me of the two Les Dawson old ladies with the large endowments :D Was liking the 5 extra things particular to your situation challenge (long winded title, sure I could put that better but you know what I mean!) Thanks to Pigpen, Soappie and Toots for all your hard work and inspiration :T

Ragz, could he not offer his 'in house' services instead of garden services? helping others do little jobs around the house, painting, tiling, furniture rearranging? just to get a little money in and keep busy. Just a thought in case it might help.. :D

Catalogue returns sorted, WM and TD on.. just deciding what to throw in the SC for dinner.. may end up as pork casserole.. Phone calls next on the agenda.

I get that too - makes me .

Yesterday the living room was looking beautiful (even though I do say so myself) - he came in and started chopping wood on the hearth but bits of wood were flying all over the carpet so I had to revacuum. Why don't they think :confused:
    Because they're men :p

Could he suggest that he could go round and do stuff like snow clearing and log chopping? Even if only a few of them say yes, it would mean some money coming in (and more importantly he'd be out from under your feet ;)). ETA - I see pigpen's had a similar idea... the question is how you can make him think it's his idea... perhaps you could say that one of us has asked our gardener to do this kind of thing/is looking for someone to do it ... in fact, I've got a HUGE list if you want to send him round here!

I'm showered and moisturised... and the bathroom has had a S&S, all the laundry is in the basket (not enough for a load yet). So I need to get dressed, load the DW and tidy the kichen surfaces, then brave the outside to make sure I can get the car out (and put my emergency kit in it... Blanket, phone charger, drinks, scarf & jumper are already in there. Need to add: hat, gloves, first aid kit, spare walking boots, socks, my brother's snowboarding top that he left here about 5 years ago and doesn't appear to want back, cereal bars, wind-up torch, spade. If the roads are OK, I'll head into town after reflexology and see whether I can track down a shovel seeing as I let my brother have his back...

    See you later
