soappie - pheasant sounds wonderful. Think we're having poussins tomorrow as I bought them for 83p each yellow stickered a couple of weeks ago. I'm thinking roast veg and herby roasted new potatoes and a nice gravy.

And it's smelling wonderful! I browned it off in the frying pan then threw some onion, garlic and mushrooms in the pan, let them sweat off a bit, threw in a load of herbs and pepper and a tiny bit of salt. Added a slug of red wine and some of the stock, threw that on top of the pheasant and it's now partly braising, partly roasting in the oven. I'll do some Soappie's cubed potatoes finished off with olive oil and cabbage to go with it I think. The rest of the beef stock will go in the freezer for another day.

Valli just read through, well done :)
Rach hope tomorrow goes well. Have you thought of getting a nice coffee maker for home? We did this when the coffee bars were getting too busy & it started costing too much
soappie hope you feel better soon, do you give the bone to BB once you are done? With the eyes, maybe some hair has got in?
procrastinator hope you have a great time, sun block a plenty as they have been having a really hot one
greenbee thanks for that, I use a hair dressers but it's more an old ladies place than a salon ;) she is willing to try stuff if I am ok with using it
fedup honey, I'm not going to go on about how much you don't needing and you have impressed me with how strong you are being, but yes, I hope he leaves you alone too x
toots thank you honey, he's getting there, it's just the motivation now while it's still a bit quiet. Yes lessons learned, hope you are ok too sweetie x
Penny I am pleased you don't feel like an outsider, I promise I don't think of you as a BG most of the time....if I did do you think my posts would be as long hahaha...you're just another one of my friends who has a 'sensible' signature. How did that low calorie cake turn out? Must admit I am tempted!
poohbear well done on another productive day, sounds like your DH is pulling his weight now
Mudders so sorry to hear that, huge hugs honey. Thinking of Karena and her family, hoping her days are peaceful & painfree creating memories for her loved ones to share when she passes on x

People waiting for HDN deliveries.......we nearly always get ours on a Sunday here, I've started asking them to fetch on a night if possible (woman and man who use their own cars) as we're not usually in or they leave them with next door. It might be worth chatting to them if yours is private people doing it & you get a few deliveries (one of DPs 'toy' shops uses them)

Well I did my HHC then I felt ill & tired....I ended up having an hour in bed. I feel a little better, but not hugely. I have been flying since I got up, I got the dining table cleared again which ended up a foot deep in junk. Dog just ran through the house caked in mud, child let him in from the garden and the carpet runner had moved....I knew light brown carpets were a ruddy bad idea!

DS1s done his floor, kicked up a fuss but it is done, you'd think he was a teenager but he has 2 years to go before that starts. You can now walk through his room without breaking your neck but....the sitting room has the 4th lego set on the floor....He's now sat shouting answers as 'in it to win it' he's not got one wrong yet of course. DS2s been very quiet all day, mainly wanted to be in his room so don't think he is right yet, however he knows DS1 screams a lot when building lego so may be hiding. Sat eating my tea which is the single portion of free steak stew (is a double one left) and I am unsure if it's because it was free but it tastes absolutely fab!

Tonight, think I need an earlier night, will get DS1 to tidy up in a mo then do DW, WM, kitchen s&s then bed....decided to put a at latest time, 10.30pm I will be in bed asleep or not!
One day I might be more organised...........

soappie - how did you make your beef stock? I'm not a totally rubbish cook, but definitely not in your league! The cubed potatoes sound enticing too....

It's hardly got light here today, and has rained a lot, so I didn't bother going into town, just to buy the deli bits from S'bury's, and petrol. I've tried to do some work, as I wanted to get it finished today, but haven't quite done enough - so I'll be doing planning again on a Sunday. Sigh.

I've done endless loads of washing, and the laundry bag is still full... If the boys do a bit more in their room tomorrow, I may stand a chance of the fifth star - I want a sparkly pink one!

    mudbath - have pm'd.

Penelope - agree totally with Toots.

    Love and hugs.

xxx for Karena and her family and for Mudbath too.

All the snow has gone and it has been quite a nice day, raining hard now though. Two loads of washing spread round the house. Cat taken to the vet for booster and annual checkup this morning and she's fine, that and the dog's tablets came to £110.

Otherwise just generally pottering round, tidying up, cooking dinner and making tea and clearing away. Took the dog out twice today to make up for some of the walks she has missed this week because of snow and ice.

Sorry to waffle, I'll stop now.

I haven't done one jot of flying this week either. :(
So not only is my house messy, its making my head messy, if you know what I mean.
I need to sort it, but I am working again tomorrow.

Pooh - has all your snow gone?

Just remembered I stripped two beds earlier so need to go and find new bedding
