    Hi all
Hope everyone is OK? Haven't had much chance to catch up on the thread, so sending hugs to anyone who needs one.

    Been a bit busy today....

    Wednesday ~ Study and Bathroom/loo

    Level One
    Level Two
Declutter the desk and clean the keyboard etc.. icky germs.. and shake out those biscuit crumbs! We don't mention the desk...
    Level Three
Defluff behind the radiators.. and wipe the fronts so they look nice
Clean the downstairs curtain poles/tracks.. furniture polishis a foolproof way of making the curtains run smoothly again! Don't have curtains downstairs, just the hideous fag-stained vertical blinds left by the previous owner...we've been saving and they'll soon be gone and replaced with curtains. Substituted the stationery store, which was taking over the office....now much tidier.

Extras ~ just 3 today as they are time consuming Done

Thursday ~ Master Bedroom and Landing
    Level One
    Level Two
Vacuum the dust mites off the mattress and turn it if you can! Didn't get a chance. Will note for next week....
Organise the towels and spare bedding.. fling what needs to be flung!
    Level Three
Clean fronts and behinds of radiators!

    Extras
    1. Mend 1 item you have been putting off for weeks!
Friday ~ Childrens/Spare rooms.. or any other room you have neglected
    Level One
Half an hour of you time.. no star if you don't do it! Will colour my hair over the weekend...hands a bit full today....
    Level Two
    Level Three
HHI Will do over the weekend - waiting for school uniform
    Extras
    1. Mend an item you have been putting off.. ;)
Right, that's me for the night. Better get a couple of hours sleep in before DS wakes up - he's been quite restless the last couple of nights and has wanted to play at 3am .

Take care all, have a good evening.

  • Hi everyone

Can I have my last star please? I've got a full house of stars this week and really proud of myself :o My flat is fairly clean and tidy, and starting to look less cluttered!

    Have a good weekend everyone

  • done loads of washing - and drying is just about up to date - which is good cos a week ago the whole house was full of wet laundry piles!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

had oh off today with conjunctivitis - am trying to stay clear of him lest I catch it too....

Work wa a real pig today:mad::mad: - indoor play because of teeming rain and slush (ie not my fault!) but normally laid back teacher gives us earache about it!!!1

Why? - I hear you ask - well yesterday those darling people from Ofsted rang - and they're coming in next Monday and Tuesday!

The result of this phonecall is people running around like there was the Benny Hill music in the background:confused::confused: - strange indeed because this inspection is 4 months overdue! Half the teachers and TA's are going in this weekend - to sort everything out!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the 4th inspection since I've been there - and the second that is only 2 days - but I have NEVER seen panic like it!

    Roll on Wednesday!

    Hi all,

have failed even level ones since wednesday, have had no sleep for days. Little DSs arthritis is really bad since it started raining, and big DS has started a new bout of hourly night fits...they seem to be working in relays!
Got home today and the kitten had got stuck in the boiler! (I suppose it was warm)...took nearly an hour to free it, relight it and block up the hole. Little DS had a random baker day (id forgotten about) so I took him to the park and he sprained his wrist.
The bank still havent sorted out my money from the fraud, and I was depressed and bought a pink spotty kettle on my credit card for no reason at all. DS hates it and wont make me tea.:(
A friend has got little DS tonight and DH doesnt have work tomorrow so he can deal with big DS and hopefully I'll get some sleep.

On the flylady front, I have done...nothing.
I havent even walked the dog since wednesday.
The house is a tip, and we ended up having takeaway tonight because I have been out all day getting little DSs arm xrayed and then taking him out this evening.

Next week I intend to actually complete the level ones, really I do. I think we should have a special "encouragement star" for people who try hard but get defeated by adversity in every direction!
Ive awarded myself this happy pink smilie because I like it! :happylove

Anyway, hugs to everyone that needs one, and smiles and laughter to everyone else,
    Skipsmum xx

Is it sad I am over excited about having a new mop and scrubbing brush for the kitchen floor?

I get new mop heads a couple of times a month AND STILL GET EXCITED!!!!!:o

When I moved into this house I got excited about the bins getting emptied, sounds sad doesn't it? I think it was getting rid of the old occupants stuff.

It is not sad, even on a Friday night, we are on here so even if it was I don't think any of us are in a position to call you sad.

And since we had new hob and sink fitted last month I take great pleasure in cleaning and buffing them:o:o

No sadder than me at a lunch at work saying 'ooh I've got a new ironing board!'

I think it's daft that the staff run around like headless chickens before an inspection. We had one last year with a couple of months notice(I think they should be spontanious)...and the staff ran around panicking for ages.....as a parent that worried me as surely if the school is being run as it should then they needn't panic or need to do extra work??????? Is it not run to inspection standard the rest of the time?????
We even had texts from school the first inspection day to say that 15 children were late for school that day, Can all parents please ensure children are brought to school by 8:55........never had 1 before or since!!!!!!

I like the school but think there was undue panic as there prob is in most well run schools.

    Sorry rant over.................
