Evening all
My list is updated on p4 but no more stars due yet. Hope to do some flying tomorrow though DH told me in the middle of the night when he woke me up coming to bed after playing ps3 online that I was going to be waited on hand and foot this weekend....since then I've sorted the dinner (only fish and waffles from the freezer and baked beans!), put my clothes away off the airer (he did his!) and washed up the dinner stuff (to be fair he did the other washing up) So I'm not holding out much hope!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
walked into LR a couple of hours ago to find DD sobbing - cannnot do her homework. Managed to find a revision guide and we worked through stuff in the (standard notation/exponentials such as 2.5 x 10 to the power of five multiplied by 3.7 x 10 to the power of -7)
ooo
I managed to 'get it' and then worked her through it...but we COULD NOT get the correct answers with calculators! We had to do them without. When we came to the ones where you were not supposed to use calculators I could practically do them in my head (she did them on paper btw...I was not telling her the answers, just making sure she got the method!)
It's been a LONG time since I did them!
She didn't get everyone right, but most. It's online homework so the teacher will then spot she is getting there, but has not yet 'got it' I hope!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello everyone, not posted much this week as I dont want to waffle. I have ventured over to the daily thread and they were very welcoming so I will have another natter there too!
I have been reading though! I have been updating on page 1 and am 4 tasks off getting 4 stars so get ready for it tomorrow morning Toots!
pigpen thanks for putting smoke alarms on, we hadnt checked them in the new house and the upstairs one's battery has gone so will repalce that in the morning. Am pleased to report that my Lakeland order came this morning so I replaced the manky filter straight away:eek: Someone else's muck is so much worse than your own isn't it!
I have also been to Grandma's changed her bed, fetched the rest of her washing and cleared her path. Why her able bodied neighbour couldn't have cleared them seeing as they share the path I don't know? I couldnt let an old neighbour or a disabled one slip when i was capable of helping out:mad: anyway rant over!
Came home
WM x 2
DW x 1 and did more tasks off the list.
Is it sad to be excited to try out yr new cleaning products from Lakeland? Have bought some shower unblocker and limescale remover and want to do them before bed tonight:rotfl:Saddo that I am.Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -

In my paperwork sorting I found £15 in Argos vouchers and a £10 Lakeland voucher so I am going to have a look to see if there is anything I need/want. Thinking of some more soft pegs.....:j:j
Macpep I’m glad you’ve got time off to be with your son when he needs you xx
Hugs Frodders, how are you today?
Julie thanks for letting us know about ebay – hope you are feeling a bit more energetic later
Valli did you like him? did you have a fun time even if you don’t think he liked you?
Hellsbells45 I hope you are in less pain soon. I can’t remember why you are in pain (sorry) but I hope it is fixable

Crafty – if you don’t have candle sticks I just use saucers some times – light a candle and drip wax onto the saucer, hold candle in the puddle of wax until it hardens and it will hold your candle up. Obviously be careful and vigilant – don’t let the candle burn right down to the saucer or fall over
Rach congrats to DH
Lil_me I hope you get hot water again soon
Hugs AnW’s mum I hope your neck and head are better soon
Ceebeeby I hope the crisis at work wasn’t too serious
AJ well done on your recital! I’d been wondering how you’d got on
Valli you are such a good mum!
I think I've got a boil again  I've not had one for a few years, and it's probably why I've been so tired, it's a sign of being run down. It's right on the bra line, below my arm pit, so is in a really awkward place! Hopefully it won't get too big, last time I couldn't wear a bra as it pressed on it and was too painful. If it's still there on Monday I will go and get it checked, as I want to make sure it really is a boil and nothing else
I'm really tired and tearful, but DH has been really sweet and is looking after me. He cooked a wonderful Spag Bol, it was so delicious!

Date was ok but just that...don't think he'll be beating my door down anyday soon.
Thanks for your comment Rosepink. Had it been a schoolnight I would have told her to go in tomorrow and ask, because I usually struggle with secondary maths ... just that we had a KS3 revision guide lying about so I learned them then guided her through it. At least I was able to show her how to use the grid multiplication she had learned at primary to help her with these! I find that easier than long multiplication myself, these days! Even though she didn't score 100% she's happy with that and I think that's enough - I don't want her teacher to think either she found it easy or that her brother (who is very good at maths) or me had helped her! It's quite a good online system. You get 5 questions per page ... if you get them wrong and reset it or go back you get DIFFERENT questions. I would assume (and hope) that the teacher can see what has been attempted, too! (Note to self - see maths teacher parents evening and ASK about this system).
Have now redone my bank account spreadsheet. Just about to go and find out what my current spends are (again) because I had all my incomings and outgoings logged until the end of jan. Most of my work stuff is backed up on memory sticks anyway so I should be ok there...but it's taken virtually all day to get this PC in a usable state.
I have had to redo my xmas spreadsheet (with all my bargains logged and everything.) Fortunately I could remember some of what I have spent. I will have to remember to update my christmas card list!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thanks for the replies about the birthday pressie decision - dh is organising an at home for me (has actually organised it all already) and will put something on invites and let people know for me saying that if they would like to give a donation rather than bring a pressie that would be lovely - the new school and linked church I work in actually sponsor 12 children in Haiti and we have no idea how they are so it seems even more appropriate iyswim.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
