Yay snow is going as it's raining (why am I pleased it is raining) I think we might have finally had a bin collectionwell ok the bins have disappeared, but someone said they were taking the bins to a central collection point at the end of the street to be emptied.....I wonder if they will bring them back up.
Got DS2 off school with a tummy upset, no sick just the other side but there is a gastly bug going round so thought best to keep him off. Having some effect on my housework and motivation to do it as he wants cuddles. Been editing my original list instead of repasting it loads. I'm pleased I put it up as it's reminding me of things I forgot by morning! One day I might be more organised...........

You've made me remember being on one of the last Route Master buses in London (you know, the ones without doors which you could hop on and off at will and which had a clippy!) before they became tourist routes only about 3 or 4 years ago.
I got on the bus, it was full so I stood (and was perfectly capable of standing!), there were several early teenage boys sitting on the bench seat bit. There was also an elderly lady sitting on the same bench. She saw me standing and turned to the boys and said, with pure East End accent and authority "Offer this lady a seat now!" in such a voice that they all got up at once and viola, I had a seat!
Maybe we need to start up an agency of such ladies to travel around the London underground and bus services with the express purpose of reminding people (particularly blokes!) of their manners!I'm not going to get rid of any odd socks - I just wear them odd! It's quite funny as some of my friends find this very disturbing...but there's a shop at Bluewater that actually sells odd socks - for more than most would pay for a pair
Am partway through what I can do today - will post again when I've done as much as I can.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone!:j
I have a cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j
That would explain the bad temper earlier this week. Sounds odd being pleased about it but I find once I can pin down why I feel what I feel; it helps.
I have done 1 lot of washing and will do the 2nd lot soon. I also did a huge shop this morning so we are fully stocked up again. I also bought loads of veg so will chop it all up ready for freezing later.
Also had a look at Thursday and today's list - def level 1 lol!
Hope everyone is ok?
1 stepIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome!0 -
HHI done while listening to team meeting...
Two deliveries today... craghoppers (Rach - did you end up putting your order in) and the thermals recommended by Kazm, so lots of trying on to be done tonight.
Made it to the gym and feel much better for having had a workout. Guess I'd better drop off this meeting so I'm ready for my next client... :rolleyes:0 -
I couldn't get on the thread after my last HHC
Same thing just happened to me....
Had to try about 5 or 6 times - kept saying I'd logged in, then bouncing me out again.
Anyway, I'm really pleased to have got 2.5 hours studying done this morning. I've cleared up the kitchen and set on the DW, but now I want to have a go at the Main bedroom.
So I'm off for a back-to-back HHC starting at 14:45 and ending at 15:45.
Anyone joining in?
(Hope this post doesn't vanish now...)
MissH

That reminds me of when I was about eight months pregnant and was on the bus going home. The busy was pretty empty when I got on, so got a seat no problem, and quite near the front so I didnt have too far to waddle off...
The bus got really busy and when it was full and lots of people standing, this old lady got on who could barely stand. She had two sticks and a few shopping bags as well - and all the people sitting just completely ignored her.
I stood up and gave her my seat and bless her - she refused. She said that I was carrying for two and should sit back down. I didnt of course and gave her my seat, but we were both slightly mystified that the only person on the bus who offered her a seat was a heavily pregnant girl!!
I stood for the rest of my journey which was only about 5 more minutes anyway and this guy who was getting off at the same stop as I was said, "Here you go, you can have my seat love" - like he was doing me a favour!! He was only giving it up cos he was flaming getting off!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway - I have done loads of work today.
Ive also managed to declutter some toy story toys through Netmums as some lady was looking so Im going to sell her some stuff and some bedding and that will be my London fund officially started!
Ive taken photos on my phone for ebay and cant seem to get them onto the laptop so I am going to have to figure that out when I get home.
