I'm not going to get rid of any odd socks - I just wear them odd! It's quite funny as some of my friends find this very disturbing...but there's a shop at Bluewater that actually sells odd socks - for more than most would pay for a pair

    Afternoon

Hope everyone is ok. A very happy birthday to Holly xx

Thursday's and Friday's list are completed!

My knee is sore and making me hobble but it's not actually stopping me do much apart from long walks with the froglets.

As well as my lists I've made a batch of roasted parsnip soup and a batch of butternut squash and red pepper soup. Rearranged part of DS's bedroom so he can lose a shelving unit so we can put a desk in there. Done washing. Made and decluttered lunch. That's about it.

    Hugs to you all xx

Sorry I've not caught up since last night

I wrote myself and DH a list for today:
Me: Strip and remake bed, wash up
Him: Clear table completely, help me put duvet cover on

I got up to wash up and shined the draining board and sink, and then was about to start washing up, when he came to get his breakfast, so I thought I'll go and strip the bed, only to find he's covered it in stuff. Grr. So I moved all the stuff to one side of the bed and stripped that side, and then moved the stuff to the stripped side and stripped the other side. How frustrating!

Still very tired and down today so not aiming for the sky in flying terms, just fluttering today.

Love and hugs to all xx

Ugh so far this morning I've put away the washing up from last night, strippped and made bed, and broken my emails. Are there any technical geniuses (genii??) with a few minutes spare who could PM me? Otherwise I'll have to venture onto the tech board...

Off to update my list and wonder how I can get anything done without emails.

Hope everyone is well, noticed you're feeling down Rose so lots of hugs to you, and for everyone else as well

Have had a manic cooking morning - made pizza and quiche with the boys, we had pizza for lunch with leftover rice that I made into egg fried rice with peas and ham for boys and OH.
Quiche is for the freezer so I have a meal for when baby comes and I don't want to cook.
Made yorkshire puds for tonights dinner but they don't look right, not enough mixture in not hot enough oil...

No baby yet lol but am very tight and uncomfortable so going to have a rest for a bit now. This is the first time I've sat down properly for hours though - I imagined gravity may help a bit!

Waiting for FIL to come round with tyre pump so we can sort the car out and do food shop, hope he isn't too late.

We had our bins collected today for the first time in 3 weeks :j

    Back to yesterdays list

Thursday ~ Master Bedroom and Landing
    Level One

[STRIKE]Declutter the floor.. and vacuum it![/STRIKE] Did this on Wednesday so I was one up
Strip the bedding, wash and replace! Texted DH at lunch to ask him to strip and wash the bedding as I knew he was WFH. When I got home - you can guess what happened i'm sure - bedding still on bed not washed - response, "Oh you normally do that at the weekend so I thought you could do it Saturday" Thanks for that, so much to me keeping to the daily challenge. I will catch up on this Saturday!
    Level Two
Vacuum the dust mites off the mattress and turn it if you can! Do Saturday again when I have removed the bedding etc.
[STRIKE]Declutter your make-up.. it breeds all manner of germs!! and bin any ancient smellies[/STRIKE] I don't have much make up so I suppose this doesn't need doing as I don't wear it often enough and only have one of each item :o
Organise the towels and spare bedding.. fling what needs to be flung! Again will pick up on this Saturday
    Level Three
Find 5 items from each cupboard to be binned/charity shopped.. pairs of things can count as 2... holey socks, pants with no elastic etc..
Clean fronts and behinds of radiators!
Wipe tops of upstairs door frames

    Extras
    1. Sock pairing session.. you have to pair up at least 20 odd socks!
    2. Clean vacuum innards, pipes and filters.. do not use again until it is all dry!
    3. Wash some stinky trainers!! .. We all have some!
    4. Mend 1 item you have been putting off for weeks!
Will catch up on todays later and try to fit in a HHC when I get home before DH does!

Sound just like my DH who complains that we have too much clutter :rotfl:

Pigpen if you're still looking for extra ideas to add to the extras I have one I wish I had added ...
make back-up copies AWAY from your PC of your key/most important files (the ones which you would go into a blind panic about if you lost them).

This could be on an external hard drive, on memory sticks/data pens/USB sticks, e mailed as attachments to yourself and thus saved in a special e mail folder you create for just this purpose. You might have online storage form your ISP for this. Burn to CD-ROMs (good for photographs!)

(Having said that emailing them to yourself means they are quickly accessed;))

And get into the habit of replacing them with up-to-date copies monthly!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

    Afternoon all

I did all the bedrooms on Wednesday so that's my spare rooms done.

I've done two loads of washing today, including the big throw from the living room.

Made a victoria sandwich and a batch of small fruit cakes.

Lifted dog umpteen times who's having a senile day and gets straight down again and then asks to be lifted.......no wonder I get a bad back.

The snow is disappearing fast. Good. On the downside, although I've been poo-picking all week the disappearing snow has revealed that I wasn't totally successful. That was a fun 10 minutes.
