Ragz don't fight the urge - just do it!!!

Had to laugh at my husband when he got home from work, I pulled him upstairs to the bedroom (I think he thought his luck was in ;)) and said what do you see? Of course he was looking for some skimpy nightie - no chance ! Eventually he clocked that the floor was bare and vacuumed, fresh bedding was on the bed, the windows were clean, bedside tables were dusted. The whole room was unrecognisable.

Oh dear, I know I've said this already this week but what is it with men  :rotfl:?

  • Hi everyone,

Had a busy week so I've had chance to log on and I've not done much flying either so not much to report.

Some sad news though....you might remember the cat we took in in November who had been a bit neglected and kept pooing on the floor all the time. We took her to the vets on Friday night who found a heart murmur amongst other things and was so concerned about her that he wanted to see her again in a couple of days. So I took her again on Tuesday night and they were really concerned as her breathing wasn't right so decided to take her in for the day yesterday and do some scans on her and they could give her oxygen if they needed too, (which she needed plenty, as they were worried her heart would just give out when they were trying to scan her). Unfortunately the scans showed she had a congenital heart defect and a hole in the heart and with her bowel problem and various other things the kindest thing to do was put her to sleep. They were surprised she'd lasted as long as she had as her heart condition was so bad. So we've all been a bit upset last night and today. Funny how attached you can become to a pet when you've only had them a couple of months. She was such a lovely little thing too. DD1 was in floods of tears last night and woke up this morning thinking it was all a bad dream and set of crying again.

Anyway, we can at least say she had a settled couple of months with us and was well looked after in her final days.

Still need to make sandwiches for DD1's lunch tomorrow and other than that I'm chilling out tonight and not doing much at all!

I did make HM pizza and HM potato wedges for tea which was yummy and DH tidied the kitchen after. Apart from a load of washing last night that I'm half way through drying that's about it I'm afraid. Promise I'll do some more over the weekend. In my defence I've worked Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and again tomorrow and Wedneday I was on and off the phone to the vets and DH as well as DD2's gymnastics. Back to normal next week and only working 2 days so I'll get back on track. Fortunately the house isn't too bad as we've been out a lot.

OK, I've finished rambling now. Hope everyone is all ok and I'll do my best to catch up with everyone. Hugs all round in the meantime!

    xx

So sorry to hear that Sunnygirl - I've lost a few pets and they really do become one of the family, no matter how long you've had them. As you said, you made her comfortable and it was the kindest thing to do if she had all those problems. Big hugs.

Just realised that although I have candles for my emergency box I don't have any candlesticks and can't remember the last time I saw any on sale.

Crafty, a glass tumbler is fine - just stick the candle in that.

Rach - top news about DH's exams - you definitely need to open the champers! Tonight! Before you do any blue sticks......;)

Hugs sunnygirl at least the little one had a good couple of months xxx

Wonder how Valli's getting on? :D

Have decluttered some more words from my head and done a bit of flying. Dinner is almost ready so I'll vamoose for now...
