Hello, I am going to my first WW meeting tomorrow so will report back with my current weight and target weight. Think I am around 13 stone and a few pounds.

I tried losing weight by the OS weightloss thread which was quite useful, but too easy to drift away and get distracted by baking, so am going to start the meetings with a friend as a way to keep on track. Going to generally stick to Old style principles though of cooking from scratch rather than relying too much on the WW branded food.

Looking forward to getting into good new habits! Have managed 2 weeks without alcohol so that's a start!

  • Hi all, first time poster in this section. I joined WW on Monday, I am allowed quite a lot of points as I am very overweight and today have stuggled to use them all up!!!!! I recently underwent hypnosis for a gastric mind band and I lost 2st 2lbs in 2 months through it, however it seemed to ease up over christmas and the bad habits started to creep in again, so I basically went on Monday with the intention of just paying for someone to weight me every week and keep me focused, however the new points system is really good I cannot wait to have my extra over the weekend ha ha x

    hi to everyone :)
glad to see some new people join us!! fingers crossed for you all :)

tomorrow is WI number 3 for me... 6.5lb off so far... really want to lose 2 more this week to get to 10stone. I'd be lucky to lose 1lb though as have used all my weeklies this week for the first time which was prob a bad idea, big night out last sat and my scales are not looking good!! Lets see...!

    xx
  • Quick question for those with the Iphone app, with the points calculator where it says Per xxxxg and Serving xxxxg what do you put in? for example if adding a ww cake would you work out the Per xxxxg as per cake or per 100g? and then the serving xxxg as the amount you eat? hope you understand my question. Cheers.

I just leave it as per 100g when it's a cake and do the portion size as 100g if it's something that is already portioned out individually like the cake slices. Whether you put per 34g and then put in what 100g's nutritional values are or you leave it as all 100g and put in a portion size's NV it still comes out the same points :)

Well I had first meeting today and the leader was very nice. I weighed 13st 3.5 pounds, so it would be nice to get under the 13 st mark for next weeks meeting.

Been pretty good today apart from a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows on top! Allowed 6 points for that so am sure I will still be in my points allowance for the day (29). And got lots of exercise walking everywhere today so that's good.

I eat fish but not meat so already eat a lot of quorn etc. Just found out the Linda McCartney pie I was going to have for dinner is 11 points! So going to ditch those I think.

Bought lots of salmon fillets today, so hoping to find some nice low point recipes for those!

Well done on your losses everyone!
