    Thanks Karie
Started WW in October 2007 Start weight of 13st 10.5lb - Lost 1st 12lb then piled 12.5lb back on:o in the space of a year. The class I was going to was difficult to get after 6 months of doing WW due to change in work commitments, so in the end I missed loads and found myself demotivated and not doing well going it alone.
Went to my current class in April 2009 and started there at 12st 9.5lb - I had been struggling with the Discover plan and had been fluctuating never getting below 12st - As I started the ProPoints plan I was 12st 8lb and I am now 11st 11lb :D For some reason Propoints loves me and I love Propoints :j:j

    Hi

Would also like to join in this thread if I may.

Started 17 weeks ago and have lost 18lbs as of 20/01/11 (had put on 2lb and lost 3lb last week so pleased with that) 20/01/11 was my 2nd week on PP and have to say I am finding it ok.

Used to have a bagel for breakfast, which has sadly jumped to 6 pp's - and I am not willing to give that over for my breakfast bread. I am training myself to like porridge made with water and a splash of milk and some fruit.

I have also started to be very disciplined about weighing things. I was shocked at how much milk I go through due to the massive amount of coffee I drink (at least 8 cups a day); the milk adds up to a pint which is 5 pp's for skimmed or 'one' milk. That was a big shock.

Anyway if I keep going at this pace - approx 1lb a week, I should be at goal 10.13lb by end of May (19.5lbs to lose) which I would be very happy with. The last time I was "in the 10 stones" bracket I was at school, and I am 42 now!!

Exercise or rather lack of it is my killer, I hate hate hate it.

You are both doing so well.

I lost 2stone 5lb (12st to 9st9) over 6 or 7 months in 2007. Literally changed my life. I am only 5ft 1ish and 12st was a lot of weight on me. It's only afterwards that you realise it, and being in the 9s was such an amazing feeling.

I met my partner then and I genuinely believe I wouldn't have met him if I hadn't lost that weight.

But over the last few years Ihave fluctuated between 10st2 and 10st11... So decided at Christmas that enough is enough and I am going back in the 9s for once and for all!

Started at 10st8.5 and now 10st2, think I need to be 9st7 really but let's see. My healthy BMI range starts at something like 7st11!

Hoping that we all get to our goals... Xx

My BMI starts at 9st 11 - I would look ridiculous at that weight!

    Hey everyone,
    Welcome Redmadcurls:)
Well doen on your losses karie and palema:j
i know what you mean about bmi start weights. Mine is 9st 2lb. The lowest weight i've ever been was 9st 9lb (just before i fell preggars with ds1) and i looked like a lollypop head, typically i wasnt even dieting or even trying to loose weight then either it used to just fall off me. Not no more!
Has my wi this more and i stayed the same! But i did take my measurements before i started my shred workout (now on to day 8!) and so far after 7 days i've lost 7.5cms so far so i cant really complain. Hoping my body is just adjusting and i'll get a decent loss next week.

STS but 7.5cm sounds like a result to me Nicky!! Think you will see a result on the scales next week too. Sometimes the weigh in time doesn't quite reflect effort I think, but it catches up!

    Yes it definately catches up.

I have a copy of shred here but have never ventured to put it into player!

Thats what i'm hoping for, i'm well pleased with my shrinkage:D long may it continue.

Do it do it do it:p
The first time i ever did it i felt like i was gonna die, but i really pushed myself and used proper hand weights and boy did i ache the next day. Think i managed 3 days then i gave in. This time round i never used any weights the first 2 days and really took it easy and so far i've found it a lot easier to stick with and i can defo feel a difference in my thighs and stomach.

  • Hi all - just bobbing my head in because I have totally neglected this thread for a few months now. Argh!

So far in 2011 I've managed to lose 3lb - I want to be 10 stone by Xmas (anything less would be a big fat bonus!), and as my weight is coming off REALLY slowly I've decided that this is an acceptable target to aim for.

I'm still following the *old* points plan, as I do not attend the WW meetings & so have no clue about how this new Pro Points malarky works! The old points plan works for me, so I'm not having any problems at all :)

I've got so much stress ahead of me this year that I can't even begin to imagine how it's going to affect my weight loss, but towards the later half of the year I hope to be attending a gym regularly and maybe even going swimming *gasps at my own semi-confidence* :O

I really need to start cooking healthy 'from scratch' recipes again - so I expect I shall share some of the greater outcomes here :D
