OK I have rejoined today. Have looked at the new plan but haven't had time to take it all in. I will just track everything I eat for the first few days and see how it goes. Good luck to everyone.!!! I will keep the board updated on my progress.

    good luck to you too.
I am just getting to grips with the new plan too and i like the new look. It's like starting all over again with not knowing the point value but i could do with a fresh start.
    Good luck to all.

Treat others how you would like to be treated. :)
  • Got back onto the WW train last week and have lost 3lbs in my first week :D

I'm tres glad about the change, I hope it motivates me to keep going! I got a bit bored of the old style so hopefully I'll be treating it more like a game again.

Does anyone know what the minimum recommended daily points usage is? I know in the old system it was 14.

Hello - glad I found this thread :j
I've been doing WW since late Sept, and have lost 10lbs. It swapped over to propoints today and having had a good read of it and learned more about how points are calculated, I'm raring to go!
I like the idea of having a bank of points to dip into in addition to the daily points - saves having to starve myself to save points for a meal out :D

I came across a good tip on minimins.com to work out the propoints of a food if you're in a hurry: divide the number of calories (kcal) by 40 and round up to the nearest full number to find out the propoints value. It's only an approximation, but is good in a hurry to get an idea of the propoints.

  • Hi Weight Watchers!

I'm thinking about going back to WW, interested in the new system. Just had a quick look at their website, trying to see about the registration/joining fee. do you still pay this as I couldn't see it mentioned. How much is the weekly fee if you pay cash please?
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
  • There is a joining fee (but can't remember how much??) It's £5.99 a week.
  • does anyone know if the new plan has started in Northern Ireland?

I think I read somewhere (WW community boards possibly?) that it starts in Northern Ireland in the New Year.

I signed up to ww online today- cost £29.95 but quido tracked £30 within a few hours- so effectively they are paying me 5p for 3 months membership!
I did ww successfully about 8 years ago but like most people I let it all pile back on. I have tried on and off (and who hasnt?) to diet and really hope that this time I can get rid of all my flubber! I am looking forward to losing my first half stone by Christmas which i think is "do-able".
I am going to keep popping in here and am mooching round the ww community boards in an effort to get my head round the new system.
    lovin' this site!
