what are the current prices for joining weight watchers? is it good value do you think? Im also wondering about slimming world (I'll ask on that thread)
WW is £5.99 per week or monthly pass for £12.95 for 1st month then £19.99 there after - You also get all the online e-source service for free with monthly pass which I find really useful and helpful. Definately value for money.

as far as I'm aware... There are NO CONVERTERS......
as far as I can tell...There is no way to do a conversion - old points was cals and sat fat PRO POINTS is fat, fiber, carbs & protien - there is no way to do a conversion as what you are using the do the calculation is TOTALY different!
I have my pack if anyone has any questions.
Ooh ooh ooh - I have LOADs of questions
Stopped doing WW because I was using up so many of my points on fruit - for example yesterday, I ate 3 apples, 2 bananas and 6 satsumas - that's 8 points gone at least! Cut down the fruit but couldn't see how that was halthy so moved to Slimming World - which makes a bit more sense to me but just does not seem to be working very well and I have issues with the fact they make no allowances for additional exercise.
Soooo
Is the new system the 'propoints' thing?
Can you still 'buy' points by doing exercise
I assume cards are still subject to points - that's the bit I don;t get at SW - How can you eat so much pasta? btw - I always stuck to my WW 4.5 points portion to be on the safe side - in case you thought that was why I was still a porker ;-)0 -

Fruit and veg (most) is free on the new plan.0 -
LOL...
fruit has 'no pro points' so scoff way!!!
and yes you can stillearn points by excersizing.
you have a 'daily pro points allowance' - but it's use it or loose it you can't carry over or save like you used to.
And a weekly alowance - to use how you like for the week,
Apart from fruit and the 0 propoints veg (some still have points) you work out points using, fat, carbs, protien and fiber.
think that pretty much covers it - anything else???0 -
Hi, I've been doing WW since july and lost 26.5lb so far
Going to find out about the new system on Monday..quite excited but a bit nervous about the change!
Does anyone know how the online points logger will work? Will it change to be the new system? or will you be able to choose which system you want to use? The main motivator for me is logging my points online and i'm worried about this changing!!
thanks

I think it will change to the new plan - no choices as they are dropping the old plan overnight - more or less...
There are other sites u can log ur eating on though - I use an iphone app0 -
Well WI today, and have put on 1lb so not a good week, am looking forward to the change so it can be a fresh start. I really can't get motivated at the moment, after doing so well all year, I seem to have hit a wall. Bring on the new system.
Have a good weekend all

The change is brilliant - I am a helper at my class and have been doing the ProPoints plan since last week and had my WI today and I managed to lose 3.5lbI think its the kick up the backside I have been needing to restart my weight loss!
The esource tools are being updated on Monday to the ProPoints plan so you will be able to use it with the new plan - the Discovery plan will be no more - although I do know a few people at my class who are sticking with the Discovery plan until after New Year!
Don't be alarmed at the points values of some items as they will increase BUT so will your daily points - Enjoy and let us know what you think of the plan on Monday.

Thanks for the reply - I may have to give it a go - did WW online for a while but think would be best to go to a class to get my head around the new plan.0 -
For anyone interested there was an article in the Daily Mail on Wednesday with pretty much all the details of the ProPlan - The Link
