  • Hi

Am considering joining WW online soon. Am a bit worried though about the points tracking being difficult to understand and going over my limit each day. Also do you have to 'count' the salad n fruit or are these 'free to munch'.

    Thanks

    :)

  • :j:j Just thought I'd pop in and say hi!
I'm following a clean eating version of WW....no processed food if I can help it.
I'm doing this at home due to irregular working hours and locations, but often lurk here to see how you are all doing.
My goal is to lose 3 stone to start, and to feel a little more like my old self.
I've had a tough couple of years losing both parents and managing to quit smoking too, so I decided it's time to tackle my weight issues.
    I'd appreciate any support,

    Katrina x

Hi Katrina Just wanted to say good luck, you sound like you've done wonders so far already. When (once in the distant past) I converted to cooking from readymeals to from scratch I would put aside a day (or part of it) to cook stuff and freeze it for the month or week then I still had the conveinience of readymeals but they were home made. Hugz :)

Fruit has to be counted, generally 1/2 to 1 point per portion. Many vegetables are free but not all - off the top of my head any potatoes, peas and sweetcorn aren't, possibly parsnips. And trying to answer this has just made me realise that leaving all my WW books at home and just bringing my points counter with me is going to make things awkward this week - bugger.

Another one popping out of lurkerdom to say hi :hello:
I recognise a few "faces" (Vixstar)

And Crisp I had to say I love your signature :T

A bit about me...I had our second baby on the 20th of August-he was the result of two years of trying and the help of a fertility specialist, the trying to conceive thread on here, and about a 10lb loss on ww. We got our BFP on Christmas eve and my last WI was 14st4lb...
My discharge weight after baby was 14st9lb :) and Im 5ft4"
    He weighed 9lb6oz

Obviously I cant go back to meetings until the beginning of October so Ive not yet decided if I want to just pay my online fee so I can track again in the meantime and start preparing...(opinions?), I've kept to the principles throughout the pregnancy but not counted points really.
Im not breastfeeding-didnt with my first either...I have cerebral palsy so helping learn to latch has not been successful. Also, I suffer from depression so dont want to put unnecessary pressure on either of us. So far he's doing well on Aptamil 2 so we're sticking with that (he's in a 4 hour routine at the moment).

So basically I thought if I started posting "regularly" it would start to gear my mind and motivate me for when the time comes-even if Im not really on track.

    Thanks confused.
  • Oh dear. I'm popping in to admit how badly this past bank holiday weekend defeated me on the diet front.

And to think I was doing so bloody well.. :(

I've eaten allsorts. Everything bad for me. Friday is my treat day, as always, and I had enchiladas and a toffee sundae dessert pot to follow. This was my usual indulgence, however the whole weekend then spiraled out of control and saw me eating totally atrociously!

Saturday I tucked into a 2 scoop baskin robins ice cream sundae from the cinema, followed by garlic pizza bread, 1/2 medium pizza and 1 sweet waffle from Dominos. :(

Sunday involved visiting my girlfriend's parents, which meant I had a boots meal deal for lunch before heading off to her parents, and then off to a pub for tea. I chose something not *too* terrible, pork loin with a chorizo, tomato, onion, chickpea and other bits sauce. This was served with veggies (brocolli, potatos, green beans, carrots and mash). It was the giant serving of pavlova and whipped cream made by my girlfriend's mother that finished me off diet wise!

Monday was a wonderfully appreciated day off work, in which I made a visit to a shopping centre - and ate at pizza hut for lunch. DOH! 2 slices of cheesy garlic bread and 1/2 a medium pan pizza. This was followed by 3 scoops of authentic gelato (italian ice cream) at a wonderfully little gelato place. Oh, and I also had a lemon frappuccino slush drink thing from starbucks. Oh dear. I didn't eat anything for tea though as I was stuffed. :p

Writing all this down makes me feel absolutely awful, and I can see why I feel so bloated, sluggish, tired and lethargic. I can also see why my tummy thinks my throats been slit now that it's had chance to stretch itself out a bit, and is now panicing as I've returned to my regular diet eating pattern. Eek! :(

Not looking forward to this Friday's weigh in. If I can manage to scrap a STS out of this weeks weight, I'd be praising the bloody Lord! :(
