This morning I made the 'Oaty Pancakes' from the Weight Watchers Cook Smart Family Food book, and they were dire.
I make pancakes almost every weekend, the full fat thick american kind - be it plain buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup/strawberry compote, or cinnamon bun pancakes with maple butter icing.
Unfortunately, these Weight Watchers pancakes were just so bland and bleh. It took a few squirts of maple syrup to even make them acceptably edible - which completely defeats the object.
The recipe is pretty simple, but had no butter or sugar in it, and uses whipped egg whites which gives the 'pancakes' more of an omeletty taste/texture.
Unfortunately I'm very dissapointed and won't be making them again. The recipe portion sizes are rather stingy too, so I wouldn't waste my points on them again.
Boooo - tomorrow's tea is going to be a beef casserole from another Weight Watchers book I have, so I shall report back on that tomorrow.

Evening all, just had to report lost 4.5lbs at this weeks wi this morning. That makes my total lost now of 27lbs in 8 weeks.
yay!! very happy with that. I have a wedding to go to at the end of October so would like to lose another st by then and then another st by xmas =D Havent been exercising for 2 whole weeks, did some tonight and really took it out of me but feel grea that i did it. Welcome to all the new members, and well done with all the loses. Good luck for everyones wi this week! x

Hi All,
WI for us this morning and we both STS - not bad considering we had a couple of meals out and still tried to stick to our points.
OH has really been working hard and has done a huge amoung of physical stuff at work but has been eating extra bits which i think hasnt helped - as for me, well, i think i need to focus more on eating free foods in the week and maybe consider some exercise!!

Am starting Weighwatchers plan tomorrow. Wont be going to class but I have all my books from classes before.
Have also tried slimming world on and off without much success.........
Really need to do something as i'm hitting 12 stone....and just over 5 foot.....
can anyone tell me is an egg fried in frylight still 1.5 points same as a boiled egg or how do you count the Frylight......
I just need to get back into the weightwatchers points system a oppossed to syns, green and red days0 -

I've lost 10.5 pounds in five weeks and am really pleased with myself. I go to class and buy a monthly pass so use the WW online system too - that really helps because I can find out the points really easily.
I'm amazed at how much weight people have lost on here - I need to lose 62 pounds so I'm a mere beginner0 -
Had my WI on Friday and was a little dissapointed as it was a sts, but it's better than gaining so I have to keep that outlook - pfft!

Frustrated with myself, but I think I really need to up my game now and get some exercise in again. I totally stopped exercising when I started my job, and that was a few months ago now!
I wish I had the confidence to pull on a swimming costume and get to the local swimming baths, but I really don't

Well, its not going well lol, another sts for both me and OH this week - think we need to concentrate on following everything exactly and maybe doing some exercise ........
But - on the plus side, on the weekend i made good choices, i went to a friends wedding and rather than having seconds i didnt, only one piece of cake (and thats one piece, not even one piece from each tier!!!) I had scrambled egg on toast rather than the full fry up and drank diet coke instead of alcohol
