I'm currently using DHGate and have ordered 24 items for £102 including shipping. Obviously, do your research and be careful, as with anything there are scammers as well as good people.
The thing i like about it is, you can search for almost anything and you can narrow it down to free shipping etc so you don't get hounded on shipping costs. Things to consider are potentially paying VAT or customs charges when it arrives in the country too.
Thanks Caseyface, I'll take a look!

As in for someone who has very little to invest at the beginning?
I've been looking at job lots and wholesale on ebay but is there anything else I can look at?
Well depending on how little you are - for example I wouldnt deal with wholesale sofas.. your stature just wouldnt suit - so perhaps wholesale jewellery!!
hehe sorry I couldn't resist!!
anyway, back to your question.. are you creative/crafty.. is there anything you can make/bake/put together that you can sell? ATM thats the only way I can think of for people to have a bunch of items without a huge initial outlay..£2022 in 2022 - £1042/£2022

Start your research for your bigger ideas now and really flesh out all the angles to them whilst you build your stake with smaller transactions ... that way, when the right opportunity comes along you will be better placed to react to them from a position of knowledge and financial capability. ... anyway, I think you should still put some flesh on the bones of that other idea you were talking about ... the process alone will teach you plenty of valuable lessons
. PM me if you want me to chuck a load more nonsense at you

Haha! :rotfl:
I'm not sure I'm crafty enough that people would want to buy my stuff, altho I do dabble here and there. The wholesale jewellery might be an option tho! I'm just wary when it comes to finding the right wholesaler.

Also you could watch out for shops closing down in area and buy up the cheap surplus stock, I fell across a Poundstretcher closing down back last year and they were selling everything 20p or less I had 2 massive black bags full for just over £10....same applies for Matalan and Next surplus stores if you have one near you....sometimes they do offers on top of the already low prices and their stuff esp Next sells well. When I went to Matalan clearence on off chance last year they had 75% off all the clearance prices I had 2 trolley loads for about £40 and that is no exaggeration.0
