China-doll I think everyone is having a bit of the January blues at the moment ... I went all over town today and think I only saw one other person smile all day ... and that is in a City renowned for everyone cracking jokes and having a laugh. I don't think the horizontal rain was helping any
. I think the ideas you develop through this challenge and beyond will give you the ideal counter to your erratic work schedule and in time will likely occupy you too much
... but hopefully give you a long term set of commercial opportunities. Big smiles and keep up the good work

NOt much else to report her other than tomorrow I will be mostly writing a proper business plan!!!
Exciting times ... there is a book I swear by when it comes to business planning which may help you polish your plan up a bit along the way ..." the definitive business plan" by Richard Stutely ... it is an FT publication via Prentice Hall. I have an older version than the current edition but as the current one is by the same author I would imagine it is just as good if not better. Amazon are selling it for around £11 at the moment so it might be worth the investment. There is quite a bit to it but you can get a huge leap forward from reading the introduction and early chapters and then jumping about for information when you need it ... in time it usually proves useful to jump in in more detail if there is a specific area of your plan which needs a bit more meat on it. Hope this helps.

I just had a quick look on eBay and you can get it from there tooThinking about getting one myself after you recommended it Eyesparky. Some have sold from £3, so you could get it cheaper (maybe it's one of us that has read it and doing a clear out?!?!:p )
No more sales today, but giving me a chance to catch my breath and do all the other things I haven't had a chance to do yetBe the change you want to see in the world - Gandhi

While we're recommending books, i must say Edward de bono is an absolute genius. He coined the phrase lateral thinking and i'd recommend everyone reads at least one of his books. I use his theories when i work with young people to teach them to 'think outside the box'. He has developed four types of 'thinking tools' - the first is an 'idea generating tool' and within this, there are four further tools to help with generating original and brilliant ideas. Google him, i often refer back to him when i'm trying to find inspiration.Just £10,852.28p to go...

Totally agree ... I think I have read most of his books. The very concept of his approach to lateral thinking is worth the cover price and there are copies of books like "I am right you are wrong" knocking around for postage money."I hear and I forget.
