I've sold 2 mothers day cards a week or so ago, both to the same person. My parents used to do quite well with the cards (until ebay stopped them, lol). I shouldnt laugh.

How do you set the auctions out for them ?

I use this (below) and what do you charge for p+p ? do you send to europe and worldwide ?..

Well done everyone!!! We're all officially RICH, YES we are!!! Minted!

My not so good news: I spent £15 impulse buying a windchime. Then i bought steak for tea. And now i have to buy a new adapter for my laptop as i'm wearing it out being on here!

My good news: My publishing project is all coming together and I was also offered another job today :) It's on flexible terms so i can top up my hours from my current job if i want to take it. I also had another idea for the springtime that i'm working on, slowly!

I've mentioned snippets of things to my OH and my Mum but neither are interested - can't wait to show them the 10K bank statement!

Keep up the ace work peeps! xx
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

Why did they get stopped. I don't need much profit per card cause i got a good deal on a job lot. I was thinking of braking into smaller job lots. Maybe 100 cards for £10 + £5 post. I tink this is reasonable but not sure if the market is there?

    Hi all

The joblot I was bidding on, on eBay is now mine!! £92 for 82 items!! some retail at over £20 so I reckon there is a tidy profit to be made!! as long as each item sells for at least £1.12 I will make my money back!!!

    Fingers crossed!!!
    What did you buy?

They got stopped cos Ebay told them to register as a business cos they were selling so much new stuff, lol.

That works out at 15p per card which is pretty good but not everyone is wanting to buy 100 cards at a time. Is there no way you could split them into singles and list them all ?

OMG OMG I'm really excited! I set up my Folksy shop at the weekend and I've just had my first sale :) I've sold a necklace and a card, which after fees will only make me about £7, but someone liked them enough to buy them!!! (Now I'm stressing that they won't like them when they see them IRL).

I put 6 or 7 things up just to put a toe in the water, but I'm sufficiently encouraged to put a few more things in the shop now. :)

Small beer compared with most of you, but v. exciting for me LOL.

YAY.... well done 2 cats! Big pat on the back for you!!!

    Hiya guys

I’ve had about £100 worth of sales on ebay, they all ended last night and 8 out of 26 items sold, so I’ll relist then at the end of the week.

Have been feeling a bit ill and down this week, with no money and into so far into my overdraft I can’t really go out and do anything, one of the down sides of my job is my bf and all my friends are working when I’m at home alone, the money and work is not regular, and I’m constantly having to look happy and energetic when all I want to do is rest. I did get paid a hefty cheque yesterday but that just about clear my natwest credit card and over draft of and then I’m back to £0 :-(

I’ve spent my £100 on stock, just waiting for it to arrive, in the mean time I guess I’ll keep on ebaying my old things...

China, I know how you feel (been there and been down too!). See how you feel and maybe if it keeps on then it might be worth a quick trip to the doctor?? Why not look for different work that is more regular and flexible to fit in around what you do already? Or use your knowledge (am I right in thinking you are modelling??) to set something up to occupy your time and maybe make a bit of money at it. Are you any good at writing? Maybe a fashion blog, or approach the local newspaper..... Or even set up your own agency??? Feel free to PM if you need a chat!

NOt much else to report her other than tomorrow I will be mostly writing a proper business plan!!!
And trying to get my new ebay account sorted....GGRRRRRRR Blasted ebay!

    Hope everyone else is well.....

Yay! Just sold an item on ebay that I really didn't think would sell. Had no idea what to price it at so started it at £29.95 - had just one watcher and 11 views in 10 days and it went with a minute to go. Dead chuffed.

Fantastic news ... huge first step :). I don't think it is small beer at all ... I have mostly only been selling things I already own whilst I think about long term ideas, whereas you have commercialised a product of your own making and sold it in the big wide world ... totally brilliant, well done. :T
