susie-sue - Have spoken to him and cancelled the bid. He wanted it because he loves lego, yeah right! as if! and he didnt realised I'd been selling some previously ... another yeah right! cos he keeps track on everything I sell (and do) plus he bid on other items when lego been selling AND he aint bought lego from anyone else so why me ?!

Anyways, had to laugh, ebay want him to change from personal to business account cos he been selling so much stuff and buying from ebay to resell on ebay for a profit. HA HA, he says he just going to use mum's account from now on (even mentioned my account to which I thought NO *** way). They only annoyed now cos means they will have to save up for a new window a different way.

Then mum starts going on how they aint been out house since 29th dec because of the snow - I said "stick a pair of wellies on and get out there" - She wont walk anywhere cos all local hospitals run out of crutches and she too lazy to walk and prefers usin dad's spare mobility scooter (she aint disabled at all)

nixinixi - any thoughts on marketing 100 pairs of googly eyes lol x
Years ago I seem to remember there was a fad for sticking googly eyes on odd-shaped varnished pebbles and making "pebble pets" - don't know how well they'd sell though!:rotfl: Bonus though - quick to do and you may re-invent a craze! Pebble supplies may present a problem - in theory you can pick them up off the ground - but I guess they all belong to someone (especially those on the beach!) - what a strange thought!
I think I have seen semi-precious gem stones rough tumble polished with googly eyes stuck on as well!
What about small Gonks? Anyone remember them? They were just a lump of fur fabric with felt feet and a pair of googly eyes!
That's it - I'm all googlied out now!

me three but really should start getting dressed for work and decide how many layers I'll need on (boss rang after I put the washing machine on with thick work shirt in) as only got light thin blouse ... thinking t-shirt underneath, black cardi jacket with fleece on top should keep me warm

    Hi there
don't forget that this challenge is not just about money you earn through selling, but money you save on shopping, bills, tax rebates, ending subscriptions ( phone, sky) anything at all can be included.

Remember the main rule of this challenge- there are no rules-

Start going through your weekly shopping, do a menu plan, Im currently spending £20.00 a week less on food, so on the year this will equate to over £1000.00 - it soon adds up !

Don't be disheartened if your totals are low, it's got to be more than nothing ....! if you've made a start on the challenge, then good for you.

Smile and be happy, that's got to be worth £££££££

Also, braken2000 I am really, truly happy, so there is at least one person in the world who is...lol x

Dinah93, had a look see at your web site and your stuff is really cool too, love the painting especially....

Well, best get cracking with some housework as the day is running away from me - keep it up everyone x

  • thanks to OHs book collection on boat building, am waiting for Amazons payment of £58 (only 3 books worth love OH for letting me have them!), also waitingn for MS payment of £13, will then have enough money to invest in my first pallet or resale, beginning to get a bit nervous about spending it now! Wish me luck, will let you know how it goes and weather there is any money to be made in it.

Right, off to raid all pockets, bags and behind the sofa, have to prepare for Boots sale tomorrow! Do you think that investing in some of the popular gift sets for resale on EBay would be worth it? Know I cussed everyone who did this with the hatboxes, but seriously tempted.

I have been watching this thread with interest, 16 items up on ebay, a few ending today, so far bids totalling just over £60!!!

Love the idea behind this thread, and all of the positive vibes.

I am seriously considering starting up as self employed and doing this for a living (in between jobs) - mainly due to this thread.

I did used to have an account on here a few years ago, do you think I can remember my username or password though!
