just wanted to share my good news with everyone, I did start this challenge on Jan 1st but have had a slow or non existant start to the month after buying my laptop but have now counted out all the money in my jar from last year and have £275.00 i have £90.00 to go in the save £10000 in a year pot as i paid a couple of small depts of with the rest. I have also listed 7 things on ebay (quite a bit of interest already) with plenty more awaiting me to list just trying to make the time (finish nights tonight so will be this week) have a couple of days off to declutter the house and sell anything surplace to requirement / i have written 2 more dooyoo reviews with another nearly complete (will be posted tonight) I aim to write a review a night for the next couple of days while im off and one a night on the days i have off next week should then bring me to the big £50.00 cheque. Maybe a bit behind but now ive started i will be full steam aheadTurn £100 - £10,000 in a year £50/£10,000:T0

Hi v debt, I am no expert when it comes to selling on ebay infact i only started sunday night lol, I built up my feedback by buying things from ebay first, if there is anything you need it is def worth considering ebay first to build up your rating, I know my other half is a bit sceptical about buying the more expencive items off new people with no feedback but my opinion is everyone has to start somewhere.
I have started my 7 items off at all different prices as it was a free listing day sunday i thought it would be a good oppertunity to test the water and if the item doesnt sell i have not lost anything. I started selling things from around the hose in easy reach that i didnt want, i started many off at 99p as it didnt bother me what i got for them as i didnt use them and every little helps as they say, i started somethings off that had never been used at a higher price of £3-£5 to get a bit more money but this is well under what the items were purchased for (but again they were just laying around my house and some money is a smaller loss than no money for them) and i am selling some elec equipment i started off at a lot lower price than they are worth (taking the gamble too as to me loosing something is better than gaining nothing) but these items have had quite a lot of interest but it is up to you. Posting is my weekest point but if you go to the post office they have a list containing price guides which may help your decission on who to go with or what to charge. Hope this helps im new to all this too but seems to be working touch wood.Turn £100 - £10,000 in a year £50/£10,000:T0 -
Am I the first one up?? Georgie (baby in my avatar) is teething, so I'm having some lovely poorly baby cuddles. Have just read various comments and forgotten who said what but thank you to the person who suggested using resources only I have access to, and not just ebaying, I'm racking my brains now. I have access to two fairly cute and funny children (the other one goes to school) on weekdays, mostly this is more of a hindrance than an asset to money making schemes but I did find that when I was doing Avon - found it to be too much effort for very little return - people loved me going round with the kids. Just a thought for the other stay-at-home mums, bit daft maybe but people will often start talking to mums with kids, or else the kids will start the conversation, I know mine do!
Just trying to think of a way I could incorporate my current situation into what I'm trying to do. I'm already planning on making a couple of days a week my days for taking the girls down to the beach and collecting any sea glass or interesting rocks to drill for craft, i've seen that this sells although not in vast amounts or anything but it's a bit extra if I can do it.
An irrelevant thought was (not for earning money) a lot of people in nursing homes are very lonely and love kids, and when I was working in a dementia home I wanted to do something along the lines of taking the kids round to nursing homes for the residents (mostly ladies who have had children) to enjoy talking to and making a fuss of. I knew this would never happen because of all the health and safety issues, but it seems such a shame, they'd get such joy from it... Sorry, irrelevant like I said...too many ideas and too little common sense, that's me.
Got a velvet curtain on Ebay with eleven people watching it, but I started it off at 99p and they all seem to be holding off bidding till the last minute! Still it cost me nothing so hey hoI have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Morning everyone. Well last night I set up my blog names, and will start the planning on them today, so I know what content I want on them when etc. I find this helps rather than just randomly blogging.
I've also just added some new ads to my personal blog, so hopefully will generate some income from those in a few months.
Still getting over this damn infection that was causing me to feel so ill, but as soon as the anti biotics kick in then I should be fighting fit again and raring to go.0 -

nice work btw....I noticed you said on your website that you have an etsy shop, do you get much interest/sales from there?
Honestly no, but I only have my photographs up so far and the market is absolutely flooded. I mainly have it there in case people I see at craft fairs want to buy securely online later on. I'm hoping for more luck with the prints of the paitings, but I don't have those up yet as the website is being a pain. I don't intend to sell any of my original paintings for the time being as I'm still trying to build up my portfolio.
Speaking of which people have been so helpful giving oppertunities in the Manchester area, does anyone know of anywhere that might take a chance on a new artist with no confidence at all in the North East area (live between Darlington and Stockton, so Middlesbrough and Durham are also local, Newcastle/York not crazily far away) x
ETA: Also can anyone tell me if I can put a blog onto my existing web site just as an intigrated page, or do I need to have a seperate link to the blog to the website.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just bought my first wholesale purchase! 24 pairs of kids sandals / flip flops for Summer, planning to do car boots by the sea and got them for about £1 a pair so hopefully they will sell for double at least. I don't know, I'm a bit scared about taking risks but on the other hand you only live only and I used money already in paypal from selling so it didn't actually cost me anything. Still hesitating over bingo, nearly signed up last night but it's not something I'd usually even think about so something stopped me! Off to sell my gold bits and bobs tomorrow, or at least get a valuation!
Was thinking of putting a poster up at school and the local shop offering ebay selling services, what do you think is a reasonable amount to charge, I was thinking 40% of sale price for time, packing, listing, photos, answering questions (obviously packing costs in P+P charges to seller) does anyone else do this and what do you charge? Thanks xMum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Cally, star wars lego - yeay!!
Work - boo!! How unfair that you have a holiday and get called in. I assume you work for a small organisation? I guess you'll get your days holiday back or get paid extra to be in today so that may come in useful further down the line.
As for the other lego, is your dad intending to buy it? That's excellent that he's supporting you by paying more than anyone else is on ebay. If he's just trying to bump the price up, be careful. It's against ebay's rules. He/you'll pobably get away with it once, but if he tries it on other items you/he'll get in trouble. The last thing you need on this challenge is a suspended ebay account.
Keep your chin up, today will soon be over and you'll be home again!!0
