Oh god! I feel so desparate for you. I hate it when people say things like 'oh, it will all be ok' and 'its all part of the learning curve' and rubbish like that. Dont lend to your sister - you know her better than anyone. She will have to figure this one out for herself. I know, as I have been leant on and now I am in the poo noone is here for me. Things come in threes so mebs you will turn a corner soon. Cliches cliche cliches. Chin up and dont look in the mirror at your hair whatever as that will really make you want to kill.....0

And i've had to cancel my hairdressers appointment (which is free
) and my roots are mahoosive, and i have raging PMT and want to kill somebody as it is
And that is so not grammatically correct :rotfl:
Hmm, idiots and arsey sisters are always going to crop up, you have way more important things to think about today.
No wonder you got a security question wrong, you're stressed to the max! Why don't you, in true Coronation Street style, put the kettle on, have a wee cuddle with your son and take 20 minutes to yourselves.
You try your best to relax and I'll spend the next 20 minutes thinking of a way forward for you.

I'll be alright, i've been making the most of the poorly boy cuddles
She's not getting money of me and she's run out of credit so she can't even complain about it.
The hair thing, I don't need to look in mirrors to be reminded that it's getting shocking, I get 'Mummy i've not got roots cus my hairs lovely and orange but you've got BIIIIIIIIIIGG roots on your yellow hair' :rotfl:
Post hasn't been yet, anything bad in that and I might actually go crazy!

There are companies that do this sort of thing for clients, acting as virtual PAs as it were. Each PA handles a number of clients (many executives don't get PAs nowadays or they are totally bound to work only duties) so these companies fill the gap ... finding theatre tickets, booking restaurants (and getting best tables etc.). The only problem from your perspective is that it often involves physically going to places to get things done e.g. Picking up shopping, preparing things for dinner party etc. but it may spark a related idea and/or help someone else. I can't for the life of me remember the company name I saw featured on a documentary about this a couple of years ago. I liked the idea as it had a parallel to something I was doing at the time and the company seemed to be run very well. If I remember the name or bump into it again I will let you know.
I dont know if this helps some people as you might already knwo about it. There is a website called : https://www.peopleperhour.com (hopefully it will get added to the master list). Basically how it works is its a "Freelancing" site. Companies or Individuals put up jobs they want done, and the amount they are willing to pay and then candidates (people like us) bid on the jobs and provide a short blurb as to why they are suitable.
If you get accepted then you do the job and get paid. I'm simplyfying it a bit, as its quite hard to get accepted for jobs if you are not very thorough with your description and like ebay it sort of works on a rating system so if you perform well you get positive ratings which help you get your next job etc etc. It can be quite specialised in some areas but if you have the skills and the time then it is something worth looking into. I'm sure it can help many people on this thread.
Not been on for a while, real life getting in the way of my lofty challenge dreamsSo for everyone who seems to be doing really well a huge big pat on the back
For people like me who listed sooo many items on ebay and still not one sale.. hmmm perhaps our "stuff at home" really is undesirable
Cakeordeath i know its been said already but i am in complete awe of your work!!! How much do you charge for childrens portraits?? I would happily buy one from you!! perhaps even two as Xmas presents for the grandparents this year!!!
Regarding googly eyes, I'm not sure how much you paid for them but the crafty ladies on this forum always do flannel reindeers and the like in the run up to christmas and a lot have said how successful they were at selling them. I had a got myself this xmas just gone and did some for my mum and close family and its very easy to make them. Have a look and get crafty and you might have 50 reindeer to sell at xmas!! or perhaps just break down the eyes into lots of 10 or 20 and sell on ebay from October onwards!? BUT careful how you price them cause you need to make sure its not cheaper for people to buy them from craft shops.
How am i not seeing everyone's avatars? How do i set it so I can see other peoples? The only option i have on my CP is to set my own avatar up..
P.s. Sparky I have an email to send you but i just haven't penned it yet!!! soon£2022 in 2022 - £1042/£2022

Aww thats lovely, think i'll need longer than 20 though, however poorly sick the munchkin is he still wants feeding, he dosen't understand why he's not allowed treat foods though. I'm guna sort him out, stick him down for a nap (hopefully) and get cracking with something productive after. Maybe do a spot of cleaning, it helps (yes i'm a sad deprived person, cleaning is my answer to everything)

How weird, I was watching Finding Nemo again yesterday with my son... and I completely forgot how positive Doree was! No matter what happened that resilient blue fish had a smile on her face, always looked at things the "Half-Full" way and just got on with life...
ofc the fact she suffered from "short-term memory loss" probably helped!!! But still!!

I might actually stick Finding Nemo on in a bit, even though my LO knows the whole thing already and has only watched it twice. That and shark tales, strange child, won't sit through any other films though.0

Ha ha, if I didn't know better I'd swear you were my sister - she LOVES cleaning. She can spot a crumb at 20 paces - scary :eek:0
