I know some will disagree, but if you put GM on your application, you won't get a chance to defend yourself.
I know it's wrong, but if you don't lie (and make it good) you will not be seen.0 -
Woody is right, if you put GM on the application form it will go straight in the bin. You need to be creative lol. What type of jobs are these applications for as really your application should be focusing on the skills needed for the role. Hopefully the application will impress and get you to the interview stage, where you can explain the reasons for leaving the last job, it will be down to the employer then to decide if your worth taking a risk on.
Also what are doing about your addiction? If you go to a new employer saying why you were sacked they are going to ask what you are doing to resolve your problems, if you don't look like your doing a great deal to sort this out for yourself why would they want to give you any support themselves?Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
Mate, you got caught for stealing and should be worrying about your future prospects. But instead you are on here worrying about your ex colleagues getting to know that you are a thief. Get your priorities sorted. Get your gambling sorted and find out how to get your life back on track.
Also, your langauge is pretty hard to understand. You really need to work on that one too.0 -
I know it sounds like a bit of a cavalier attitude but sod them lie your !!! of everyone else does, ok you nicked a few things look at the mp’s everyone is at it these days (we are in a recession you know lol!!).
Get your c.v in jazz it up to the max get a new job and go from there, as if you find it difficult to get a job because you tell the truth your going to have bigger problems when there is no food left in the fridge and the rent/mortgage is due. Good luck0 -

I don't disagree, but the job he needs now will provide the reference for the next one, he doesn't wat to end up getting sacked from 2 jobs in a row one for stealing and 1 for lieing lol.
Again depends on the job, most peoples CV's are pure fiction anyway.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Maybe you should read the rest of the thread rather just the first few posts, he is trying to get his life sorted and is looking for work.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
you know what i say as commented above
do you still have any mates in the old work if so get them to write the reference
if not write the job out of your c.v make up a job and get them to send the referece request to your mates house tell them thats the bosses home
or have a gap in your employment tell them you was travelling or looking after a sick relative
better still say the company you uses to work for dont give out refences (its not uncommon these days as they are all lies anyway) but you can supply your ex bosses address or phone number (obviously this is you mates address/number.0 -

Are you serious? Get a grip man.0 -
I think you maybe taking it a little too far, ommitting a little truth is different from getting a friend to pretend he was your employer. IF your going to go that far why not just add a few degrees in for good measure lolEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
