At Mcdonalds you can get larger chips(I think they call them fries though) and larger drink by asking to "go large" - it's only about 40p. Great value and the food's amazing!
And if, you know, your history...

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I like another user joined the Gourmet Society (sorry didn't quote your number as I hadn't read your post)
Used the card for the first time the other night - lovely local restaurant (which we used anyway) - handed in the card - voila - only charged for one starter and one main - fab dinner for £20 instead of £40
Cost me £37.95 to join and have saved £20 already.
Quite a few restrictions on weekend eating out - but if you like a decent meal out in the week, well worth the money.
Rang the GS Society and said we were interested and asked which restaurants - directed us to the members area of their website - use log in code 12345 and then you can see if there are places in your area that interest you - they offer a full money back guarantee anyway - but nicer to know before you part with your cash.
I said I wasn't interested until after our hols in Aug - so the very nice man at GS offered to give me a 14 month membership if I joined then.
Very impressed so far - mostly midlands restaurants at the moment

Every couple who go for three courses from the a la carte menu, one will receive their main course for free as well as you can both enjoy a glass of white or red wine on the house.

Available for both lunch and dinner, this offer is available now until the end of August.

    ;)
EDIT: Forgot to mention - Bonds is in London - Threadneedle Street.

I've used these vouchers before at Bertorellis, Cafe Fish and Livebait - they're like free money - £15 off any meal! That's approximately a free bottle of wine at their prices.

Is the hi-life any good - I saw it advertised and thought 'too good to be true' The only small print I could see that could be iffy was that technically you are only supposed to visit the restaurant once

Hi-Life isn't bad - I've had a few free trials under different names but never paid for it.

The only problem is a lot of the restaurants restrict you to mid week bookings and lots exclude Saturday nights.

But worth doing if you get a month or two free trial first.
