Here's a great one for anyone either living in the Birmingham / West Midlands area or Bristol / Bath and South West. There is a book that can be brought from http://www.invitationbook.co.uk for £19.99. My charity organisation uses these books to raise funds for our good causes. The offers inside are great for going out, everything from 2 for 1 cinema vouchers and Drayton Manor tickets to an Invitation Card that lets you eat out in loads of restaurants and gives you either 25% off or 2 for 1. Ok so it's £20 up front but I had saved that much with the first couple of vouchers. Nice to see something that isn't focused solely on London0

Anyone in the Northwest or Yorkshire.
I have a card called a hi-life card http://www.hi-life.co.uk which gets me 2-1 on food (min two diners) at loads of restaurants.
They do two levels, a bronze card for about £45 and a platinum for about £80, valid for a year. Platinum can be used at the more upmarket places and includes weekends.
Most places except two cards, so for four diners you get a really good deal! If you eat out a lot you'll save a fortune.
No connection, just a happy user for five years.:j
Do a corporate card as well for those "business lunches"!
Manchester Confidential have some good deals as well, although they are restricted to Manchester....

Last one I went on was four courses including scallops, fillet steak etc and a free bottle of bubbly at the 5* Lowry Hotel River Room, £38 a head! BARGAINThose are my principals, and if you don't like them well...I have others...0 -
Good post above - I have the same card...
Saved us a fortune and a lot of cooking!0 -

Invitation book is good. You buy a book of vouchers for local places around bristol and bath, although there are some for further afield such as legoland. When you buy the book you also get a dining card which gives you various discounts from local restraunts - theres about 100 places participating and the offers vary from 25% discount to 50% and buy one meal get one free.
The book costs £20 plus postage, however if you follow this link you get a £5 discount for being recomended by me (plus I get a gift voucher!). Hope this dosent break any rules - if it does then let me know / please remove.
PS the link takes you to a site that gives all the details of the discounts available.

I personally quite rate the last minute.com meal deals - ( cash back with quidco as well  ) theres some good deals there
Although these are not strictly DEALS in the normal sense of the word- they come highly recommended by me
Anyone in london though I challenge them to find a better deal than the early bird menu at Cafe Boheme http://www.cafeboheme.co.uk/index.php as I remeber it is 9.99 for 2 courses/ 12.99 for 3 ( i think) and Ive always had the steak frites with creme brulee, the food is superb in my experience, and you never get a decent steak in london for that price - so highly recommended from me Another fantastic little resturaunt in london ( not a "deal" though) is LIttle Bay Ive been to the one in kilburn which is frankly superb and excellent value - theres one in farringdon as well I believe http://www.london-eating.co.uk/2710.htm Another cracking place is "mem & laz" off the main drag in Angel islington the food was SUPERB http://islington.org.uk/food/restshow.php?id=119 and came in at under £30 with 2 steaks, booze, starters, the works
Also london readers who have a time out premiere card should check the time out pages & website - you get 25% off at big chill & market place ( eaten in both, very very good bar food) and a host of other discounts. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I've been using the Gourmet Society in the Nottingham area for about 2 and 1/2 years. It really is very good and I have recommended it to loads of friends. One thing I do like about it is that I can use my card in Nottingham or any of the other places - I think Birmingham, Derby, Newcastle Upon Tyne plus others (oh and Leicester). The offer is 2for1 in the restaurants. Plus it's on the normal menu unlike The Times or Telegraph promotions.
They run a promotion whereby if you recommend people you get a bottle of wine so please quote my memebrship number 24506 if you join!!! I joined on a promotion whereby it worked out at £25 for 12 months membership.

have just spoken to these to ask if they accept children in the restaurant and they do as long as they are gone Before 7. I am taking 2 children aged 4 and 5. Do you think it will be ok in there for them?
