Back when I had an Amiga 500+ yep the Simpson box, with lemmings ,simpsons, Deluxe paint 3 and Captain Planet. I used to love playing f18 interceptor, the only aircraft you could fly backwards. If you still have it , take off get quiet high and then press 0 for no thrust then the - key untill the thrust value is max reverse. The f18 stalls and then falls foward but the thrust takes it up to the 35000 feet. Then I used to max thrust with afterburners and try and break 900mph barrier. Sweet lol
Also anyone remember Magic Pocket, which first appeared on TV as a phone in saying left right jump shoot. And had Betty Boo music as the intro music.
I had a A500+ with the Simpsons and Lemmings pack it was awesome, had a CD32 afterwards as well with the SX1 expansion Diggers and Body Blows where sure fire favourites.
If your feeling nostalgic have a look at this little game its free and plays like a back catalogue of classics

I dont think i could ever nail down a favourite PS2 game. So many are just epic.
I remember loving jetpac on the specrtum, but nothing else ever took my fancy... could be because my cousin only had 5 games for it, though.0 -
Mate had an Atari, remember playing Pitfall, Indy Jones and Empire Strikes back.
Then he had a Commodore 64, we always argued which was better, I had the Speccy.
Spectrum 48k-Rubber buttons, Manic Miner, JetPac, Bugaboo, Full Guy etc.. Monty mole had abug in it so you could jump into the back ground. Had a Ghetto Blaster with a double tape deck, say I taped all the games. Band Air cassette with games on it. Best game was Bruce Lee. Boss Joystick, had a interface that spoke when you pressed the keys. Hated R type loading error.
Brother had a Mega drive-Sonic & Mortal Kombat & Fifa
Amiga 500- I had the Simpson pack, best game was Another World and Syndicate. Had so many games, most were copies.
PS1-Fifa and Tomb raider
Have a Wii now, but I dont really game anymore, its not like it used to be. Sound old, only 34.0 -

2006: This is when it went out of control, More PC's, more Homebrew jobs, Servers, Networks........I had to nip it in the bud, my house was beginning resemble a data centre minus the fancy do-dahs and air--con.
I know the feeling
That is the server cabinet just for the cctv..... (pc based dvr, standalone dvr, 2 ups, gigabit switch, etc etc).
Im not looking forward to the day I have to move it, talk about heavy.....[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
My list is:
BBC Model B (was my Dads business computer at the time!)
Atari 800XL (great machine, became tricky to get games for IIRC)
Spectrum 48k (swapped the Atari for it)
Atari ST
Amiga 500+
Megadrive
SNES
PC (never been heavily into PC gaming but have always had a few games)
PS1
PS2
Nintendo DS
Xbox 360
I've got emulators for most of the older systems now. Reading this thread has given me an urge to go and load up Back to Skool on the Speccy emulator0 -

Im not looking forward to the day I have to move it, talk about heavy.....Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
re: Bruce lee
We used to team up and kick the !!!!! out of the Ninja. The C64 version was a lot better.
Loved GhostBuster too, can you remember the speech on it when you got slimed or caught the ghost. It couldnt cope with the speech so mumbled, me and my mates still laugh at this.
Whats a good emulator? need to reminis
