Wow, it's not often I see a forum where most people have been gaming longer than I :|.

I started with a Commodore 64 aged 4 in 1989, then got a megadrive, snes, PS1, N64, Gameboy Color, Dreamcast, Ps2, Xbox, Gamecube, Wii, DS, PSP, Xbox 360 then PS3.

The first game I had was Army Days, a lightgun game for the C64. I went on to enjoy Cosmic Causeway, Rodlands, CJ's Elephant antics and got TERRIFIED by aliens.

Sonic was the game that got me to realise that gaming was something I adored, and when I got my Snes, it was Legend of Zelda, a Link to the Past that cemented my love for adventure games, which carries on to this day, with Ocarina of Time being the best game I have ever played.

Final Fantasy 7 introduced me to 'epic' storytelling in games, but no world has ever felt so alive to me as Hyrule.

Not a long list, but it has kept me entertained...

    ZX81
    BBC Micro B
    Commodore Amiga A500
PC (Starting with a 286 with Windows 3.1 and now on a Dell Studio 17)
    Dreamcast
    N64
    PS1
    Nintendo Wii

I still miss Megalomania, why won't they remake it! I've got a megadrive 'plug into your TV' box with megalomania/sensi soccer and cannon fodder - but they're not as good as the amiga versions

Laser squad ~ the first game of that kind was REBELSTAR RAIDERS yes?
    rebel1.gif

Man, I played that game to DEATH on my spectrum. That was my first true strategy game and it blew me away

Yeah, Rebelstar was the first one - then there was a later one called Lords of Chaos that was almost great

    Lordsofchaos2.png

with level-to-level progression and a quite interactive map, but just too many glitches to be really great. Laser Squad (with the various extra maps) was the one that I was totally hooked on :)

I loved Lords of Chaos. Just the whole game had all I wanted them, colour lol , magic, treasure and monters. It was great cause you could set fire to stuff and it would spread and kill off the bad guys

I actually completed UFO, The shock, never completed it again.
