My hardware has been very limited.
Spectrum 48K for my Christmas 1 year. Came with a tape recorder and a load of tapes full of copied games that wouldn't load.
PS1 that I bought in the first week it came out just because I'd seen the Destruction Derby game on the TV.
Xbox 360, just last year because I didn't want to upgrade the PC anymore.
I used to spend a lot of time (and money) in the Trocadero in Piccadily Circus in the 90's in the arcade. By the end I was a master on Daytona USA, especially with the 8 linked up machines they had in there.Dave. :wave:0 -
Ive only just now noticed what your 'Flans' look like Flinger:idea:0

I started on Commodore Pet in early 80s, then Vic20, 64, Amiga A500, Amiga A1200, then Pc in 1992

Spectrum 48k owners - how many joysticks and 'interfaces' (bit that plugged into back of Speccy, that joystick plugged into) did you go through playing those button bashers?! Do you remember crappy cheap 'leaf' joysticks and fantastic hi-tec microswitch ones?
If you miss Mega-lo-Mania, I went back to it a few years ago on an ST emulator, SteEm - totally addicted until I got to this one level. I don't have the patience these days.
Rik - an ST AND an Amiga?! What kind of freak are you? Fence-sitter!
For ST nostsalgia, and to get started with emulating it, goto Little Green Desktop http://www.atari.st0 -
The competition Pro was the joystick I remember. Despite the excellent quality I got through a few of them in my ST days.

If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

I broke quite a few joysticks on my speccy
I didnt own the st and the amiga at the same time. I had a lower spec st then went for the 1200 later (With a load of extra stuff, like a graphics card etc which was pretty much unheard of back then):idea:0 -
Did anyone else have an Amiga CD32?
I 'think' I had one for a while. Whatever I had, I recall id bought it mega cheap due to a game I managed to pick up for a quid that looked amazing (At the time), but was actually a VERY shallow shooter ~ flying through someones body shooting at stuff in a minature sub
****EDIT ~ I DID have one yes, MICROCOSM was the game****

Back when I had an Amiga 500+ yep the Simpson box, with lemmings ,simpsons, Deluxe paint 3 and Captain Planet. I used to love playing f18 interceptor, the only aircraft you could fly backwards. If you still have it , take off get quiet high and then press 0 for no thrust then the - key untill the thrust value is max reverse. The f18 stalls and then falls foward but the thrust takes it up to the 35000 feet. Then I used to max thrust with afterburners and try and break 900mph barrier. Sweet lol
Also anyone remember Magic Pocket, which first appeared on TV as a phone in saying left right jump shoot. And had Betty Boo music as the intro music.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
