    Quality British Computing :D

I thought I could remember all of the old machines but I have no recollection of Memotech whatsoever.

I see I'm the only person so far who actually bought a Jaguar as well.

  • Can't believe I left the X-com games of my 'list', the first one was awesome. From what I remember the second one (underwater?) was too similar, not much more than the first game with new graphics and renamed weapons, but there was another one too with a big city to guard? Apart from a couple of madly frustrating bugs, that was excellent too.

Another for my 'list' would be Operation: Flashpoint, maybe not an all-time classic but I think the first game I played that featured a really open 3D landscape that didn't confine you to a linear level and freedom to do a lot of the missions in a wide variety of ways

The 2nd was was underwater and was basically the same. My 2nd hand copy never worked past a certain mission though so cant comment too much on it

Ive never played the other 2 versions ~

While not strictly a gaming machine - does anyone remember the Tangerine home computer ? It was available as either ready built or for home construction.

I recall an old school friend working for a local computer shop building the kits in his bedroom, to sell a ready built.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
