the crisps had only cost about £1 !! :j0 -
I just got a £20 voucher out of Virgin rail after complaining about their Indian call centres (long story) but is it just me that feels with complaints like these that we are just being bribed to keep quiet and that the complaint hasn't really been taken onboard or actioned?!?!

YesI have never had any success with emails, they are probally just read by the office junior or cleaner, letters are far more effective.
I seem to be going through a very bad spell at the moment. My husbands new jeans were perfect but they developed a large hole after just three months. So I checked the website for the correct address and sent them back to M and S with all the details receipt etc. I got an apologetic letter and £35 in vouchers.
We took the lads to Pizza Hut after Christmas for the buffet menu but sadly there was no buffet and the manager was indifferent so I wrote, again giving times, dates and names and recieved a £20 voucher.
The best success this year has been with the bank who refunded £76 into my daughters account.
I have two more lined up, one for bad service in a chemist and another for a supermarket who have changed their plastic bags for rice from a good strong type to the sort that splits as soon as you open it.
I really need to write some praise letters now to compensate!

I sent a letter of complaint to sainsburys last week regarding a packet of nappies. On the pack it says protects babies bottom etc etc, protects from leaks etc etc and yet every single one my son wore leaked everywhere, I told them I wasn't happy as I have had to basically waste 25 nappies and got a load of extra washing on top, they sent me a letter apologising and a £10 gift voucher, very pleased with that.0

NoI wrote to Primark by using their website and "contact" feature about shoddy customer service in their store.
I got sent a £25 voucher today in the post. I was absolutley amazed as I only wanted to highlight that they need to change their training a bit or something like that and I only spent £21 in store! Not only did a recieve this gesture of good will, but also a lovely apology letter. I have to say, despite the bad customer service in the store I will still be shopping at Primark because it's obvious they do value their customers.
Also complained to Rimmel about a leaking Lip Gloss. They have sent me a jiffy bag with a letter saying to post it and they will refund postage and replace my lip gloss but they need to test it to see what the fault is that is causing it to leak.Money saved for Car Tax:

Ash just as a thought, go one higher than topshop and complain to 'The Arcadia Group' who own them, along with Burtons, Topman etc. May get a better response, you're going one above the company then.
Never needed to complain to them though so let me know the outcome!ROCK:staradmin0 -
NoComplained to Quaker Oats as a couple of packets of Oat So Simple had no flavouring in them, got £4 in vouchers back. Pack of cereal only costs £1.50 so happy there!
On a poor note, complained to Holland & Barrett for shoddy customer services in their stores, and I just got a letter saying they promise it won't happen again. Like to know how they will enforce this??!!ROCK:staradmin0
