ive recently moved my stakeholder pension from virgin money to legal & general

legal & general took ages getting back to me with a query before i'd even completed the transfer forms so i rang their compliance department to kick off. they then wrote to me with £75

eventually when the transfer was made it then took them 15 working days to add the money onto my account after they received the proceeds

i didnt think this was good enough as where i work the money HAS to be on the clients account the next working day and i didnt see why i should wait 3 weeks for peace of mind so i rang up again and they then sent £25

all in all £100 better off lol

Kellywelly... you say that the people you saw had blue badges but clearly did not have a dissability  many people have hidden dissabilites like metal illness, autism, etc, its not right to sit and judge people by what they look like! sorry for the moan it can go back on topic now :)

I e-mailed lloyds tsb car insurance to say how good their operator was when I phoned to change car details on my policy. Without too many details she was easily the most helpful and friendliest person I have ever encountered in a call centre type place. They replied saying that they had deducted £20 from my premium and had given her a staff bonus because they take customer service very seriously.

I also mentioned in passing on the phone to First Choice that I had had problems booking online and they deducted £10 from the cost of my holiday to make up for my inconvenience.

I think you might need to calm down a little and read KellyWelly's post again......

She never once slagged off mother and babies :confused:

Anyway, sorry to distract from the topic again....

I was a little annoyed to read the post by kellywelly. I do not like people who based on personal appearance assume someone is not disabled. My mum for example, you would not think she was disabled by looking at her getting out of a car etc it i when she has been walking for a couple of minutes that she starts to experience pains and so on.
Would just like to reiterate that you should not just assume someone is not disabled - this annoys me simply because when i park up and my mum gets out of the car (bearing in mind she is 40 years old) people sometimes give her the most arrogant looks in the world and i just feel like screaming at them (im usually a very calm person!).

Anywayz just be careful what you say as you could easily annoy people with comments and assumptions like these.

But you see I have an issue with this also as I am a mum with a nearly 3 yr old and I was parked at our Tesco a few weeks ago, now my little one was asleep so I waited in the car with her while my OH and elder son went and did some shopping, I was parked in an ordinary bay but very close to the disabled bays, I must have sat there for approx 45 mins, and I can tell you I was amazed by what I saw, first there was a family of rather large people 2 adults 3 kids, they were all able bodied and 2 were eating food as they walked, they got into a very large and new people carrier that was parked in the disabled bay, I had a good look and they were definately displaying blue badges, I can assure you that not one of them was disabled, a short time after I noticed another people carrier turn up and park in the disabled bay, again looked brand new, I was watching as there appeared to be nothing wrong with either the driver or passenger but they were clearly again displaying blue badges, but then they went to the side of the car and started to obviously help someone inside so I thought oh Ok they have a disabled passenger in the back, but I was wrong they were merly getting a baby out of a car seat and putting it in a buggy.
I was very annoyed by these 2 incidents and was grumbling to myself when my OH and son turned up, I was explaining to them what happened and pointing out the car that was still there showing its badges and as I was talking a little old lady turned up and again displaying blue badges and I started to say to my OH that it was people like the old lady needed be parking there and not the others when low and behold this little old lady with disabled blue badge stickers proceeded to jump out of the car and practically sprint to the store, I was gobsmacked, she could have given Linford Christie a run for his money, there was no way she needed blue badges, now that was 3 examples in 45 mins, of people with blue badges that definately did not need them, so how often does this happen I wonder.

This is extremely unfair!!!! My oh suffers from epilepsy, if we had a car he would be issued a disabled permit! He is able bodied and fit, but being disabled doesnt mean that you are in a wheelchair!!!
I also have an uncle who suffers from chronic asthma, again he looks fit and healthy but has a disabled permit!

Im sorry for saying this but feel a bit annoyed too. My mum did the same thing as kellywelly, was judging the people who parked in bb spaces and who dont look disabled, until i asked her if i look disabled, or dh or my dad. No we dont but we all get dla and dad has a bb. (me and dh dont drive)

It is so easy to say somebody looks able bodied, my mum already knows about our disabilities but a stranger wouldnt. I suppose if i was an able bodied stranger seeing my dad get out of his car, i too would probably assume there was nothing wrong. He has ms and oh boy, he has the full on bad moods to go with it, god help anyone who ever questions why he needs to park in a bb bay, its usually me who gets the brunt of his bad moods. But if i were a stranger i also wouldnt know he lives in a sheltered flat, and lives on ready meals as he cant cook anymore. He loves retail therapy though:p

Wil stop waffling on now. I have lung disease and its annoying having an invisible disability. Thats putting it lightly!

Complained to my bank as a cash machine charged me for taking out money I didn't get (the machine said that it couldn't give me all my money at this time, yet looking at a mini statement later on, it showed that the money had been taken out my account).

Complained to the Mystery And Thriller Club after they sent me a book and membership I didn't ask for, nor want. They eventually deleted my details and let me keep the book for free. (there's a thead in the Vent, Bent and Heaven Sent part of the board, lots of people have had the same problem).

That reminds me, must complain to QS, bought a pair of Converse style trainers just over a month ago, hardly worn, and the stitching on the back has completely given way.

  • I just bought a new car and changed my policy over with Tesco. They had the cheek to charge me £15.75 for the gargantuan 15 second task done over the phone, presumably because they also have to print the certificate on a laser printer and post it

Anyway, I wrote a letter explaining how I though it was opportunist and got a cheque back the the whole "administration fee"

Gits, I'll be cancelling with them next month now, as they're £120 more expensive than Liverpool Victoria, according to my quotes so far...

Have now emailed QS re: the boots. Have been happy with purchases from there before, so it is probably a fault with the style of boots.
