I have had a masive result from JCB after I complained about my rubbish lawnmower. It won't cut the daisies in the lawn so I emailled them and had a very nice lady phoned me back. As a result I have now been offered an upgraded replacement for free!!!
    Vey Happy :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Result £5 voucher for Pizza hut, rang their customer care line about menu. Buy 1 starter or side get another half price. I had a salad as a starter, when the bill came both had been charged full price.

Salads are apparently not starters or sides so not included.

Menu is being changed as lots of complaints apparently

I have complained a few times over the years.

Cadburys - I got 2 advent calendars for the kids and when they opened them the milk chocolate had gone a funny white colour. I sent them both back to cadburys who apologised and said it was becasue they had melted when stored and then hardened up again. They sent a £5 voucher for each of my children with a selection box and wished us all a Merry Xmas.

Bold Powder - Bought a quite expensive dress for a wedding and washed it as instructed on the label but it took some of the colour out of the dress pattern in places and more or less ruined it. I was told to send receipts for the outfit (£150) and they sent a letter of apology and refunded in full.

Colgate (I think) - Bought a tube of toothpaste and it tasted like soap, it was disgusting. Phoned them up and they asked to send it back. Wrote back to say that they couldnt find anything wrong with it, but they still sent me £10 by cheque.

Morrisons - MIL bought a birthday cake for my son. We kept it in the fridge with all the other party food bit when we opened it it was FULL of ants!! There were no other ants in the fridge and the box was sealed so they must have already been in there. MIL took it straight back to Morrisons and complained. They said it must have been our fault and just refunded her the cost of the cake. I was livid and said we should have done more but as she had accepted the refund and gave them the cake back there wasn't much else I could do. Wish I'd have gone to the sotre with her.

Asda - I actually wrote to Asda to tell them that their own brand Battered Chicken was the BEST I'd ever tasted and they sant a letter of thanks and a £5 giftcard (try it, its in the frozen food section with all the chicken products, mmmmmm, lovely).

I would NEVER complain unless I really had to. I think anyone who does will do nothing for customer relations and no doubt the customer ends up paying in the end.

I signed up for a Vodafone Mobile thru CarPhone Warehouse:
    14 months 1/2 price line rental @ £35 a month saving £245
    Contract stated:
    Redeem months 4 & 8 bills for 2x £70 cashback cheques only saves £140 ??
Queried with CPW staff who stated that Vodafone discount line rental 50% for the 1st 6 months = £105 + 2x £70 cheques = £245

1st bill in - no discount

Phoned CPW 3 times no joy, phoned again and insisted that a manager phone back as I was sick of spending money phoning them on 0870 ( I know - I should have used saynoto0870 )
Was told a manager would phone back within the hour - no show.

Decided to deal with Vodafone direct:
    1st call fobbed off
2nd call - 'Helpful Person' ask me to fax my contract to her & she would deal with it ASAP
3rd call - would email 'Helpful Person'
4th call - would email 'Helpful Person' again
5th call - lost my rag, threatened to leave Vodafone when contract on 2nd phone expired end of August, REALLY nice bloke said all the right things, ask me to fax contract to him

Result: Vodafone would reduce my bill 12 months 1/2 price = £245
he told me to still claim redeemption cheques from CPW as that was offered by CPW £140
Reduced this month's bill by £35 as a goodwill gesture for my troubles

    Complaint profit = £175

Thank you so much for sorting this out if you are reading this REALLY nice bloke from Vodafone :D

P.S 2 weeks later I am still waiting for the Manager from CPW to phone back - by my estimate he/she is approx. 335 hours late

I got a free Comfort Air Freshener which was advertised on this site. the knot came undone on the elastic and fell off my rear view mirror and lodged between my cup holder and air vent,it bubbled the silver covering on my dashboard. I complained a few times util they gave me £50 for the damage.

Copy of a letter I sent to McDonalds on 19th July
While shopping in Maidstone this morning, I decided to go and buy something to eat, so I went to the above restaurant at around 10:15am. When I arrived, there was one person ahead of me in the queue. When this customer had been served, he moved away, and I continued to wait. There were 5 staff in the serving area, and yet not one of them acknowledged me - instead, they all seemed to be too busy chatting with one another.

After about 5 minutes, I heard a member of staff (who I assume was slightly more senior as she was wearing a shirt instead of a tee shirt) say “is that lady waiting to be served?” to another colleague. This person turned to look at me, and then continued what he was doing. I did not see if he replied. By this time, I was so appalled by the lack of service and courtesy; I replied to the first staff member “not any more” and walked away.

I don’t think it would have been too difficult for a staff member to acknowledge me and apologise for the wait, and I would like to politely suggest that you reinforce the message of customer service at this particular restaurant.

I have been a loyal customer for many years, and I have always regarded McDonalds as an excellent organisation. I therefore have every faith that you will do everything possible to rectify this situation.

I was impressed last Friday when a lady from customer services called me to say the big cheese had received my letter and had asked her to call me to let me know they were looking into it, and even more impressed this morning to receive £15 in vouchers and an apology.

    Well done McDonalds!

barclays on line banking -when you ring up they ask at end of call whther u got home insurance, they say they will beat existing quote by £50, i tried this but whwen i rang them for a quote they said its for existing renewals, i complaned and said a quote is a quote a renewal is a renewal, i threatened with going to the f.s.a. financial services authority, as it is mis representation, i said staff should not comment on a product unless they are trained in that area or they should make sure their call scripts are f.s.a. complie ant, my mate tried this he got £50 by complaining too, if your a barclays customer if they mention insurance when you ring up for your general banking enquires say yes please put me through to your insurance i will love a quote. when they say they wont givge you fifty quid because you do not have a renewal say hah but you said tyou will beat a quote, and i have a quote fronm somewhere else cheaper, kick off and demaqnd you speak to customer services complaints, threaten f.s.a as if you do it costs all organisations £350, so as a rule its cheaper for them to give you £50 to shut you up.
    blah bling blah

i've recently complained to Tesco about their toilet roll, as it wasn't tearing along the perforations properly, they sent me a voucher for double what i'd paid (£2)

also having a lot of hassle from SWALEC at the moment - i left them and have now gone back, and as far as i'm concerned they mis-sold me my policy, promising me savings of 6% etc etc. i wrote to them and they've credited my account with £15 - so that was a result i wasn't expecting.

i think i'm going to become a complainer from now on, i'm sick of just accepting bad service

Sent an email this morning to Liz Earle customer services, I bought a huge tube of their clense and polish but after a week or 2 the seal along the edge of the tube started to come apart making it hard to get the product out.

I have left it ages to tell them of the fault and I did tell them not much in the tube left but they have called me saying a whole new tube being sent out.

Thank you Liz Earle - great customer service:beer:
