Princessa wrote:Tesco's are bad for giving out 'goodwill gestures'... you don't usually get anything from them. If you're overcharged they're good cause they do the r+r, but they don't often give out vouchers etc, so when you complain you'll usually only get a letter back, it you're lucky!
Evilwitch, why did they accuse you of theft when you were using vouchers for which you'd bought the products? Did you write to the store or to head office?
as apparantly the policy is to accept only one coupon per shop regardless if the product is purchased or not and seeing as I didn't know this I was self scanning the coupons (quite a few which totalled about £4) when SA came over and asked if I had purchased all the products. I confirmed I had and she said she didn't believe me and that it was fraud and I was no better than a common thief. At that point both me and baby were upset so we abandoned shopping and walked out so at tleast I had the satisfaction of knowing she had to explain to supervisor why there was shopping totalling £145 that had to be voided. Was very embaressing though as no end of other customers were looking as she didn't exactely say any of it quietly!0 -
hope this link will be of help, sorry if already posted

No - but it should be moved to another boardWe had an Unwins mushroom growing kit, which managed to produce 1 mushroom. We emailed them to tell them, we had followed all the instructions, and this was the result.
We received £6 of vouchers today, to buy another kit!ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -

Good luck if you do complain but from my experiences central customer services are just as unhelpful and hostile as some of the instore ones.
Maybe it depends on who handles the complaint?0 -

I would telephone the store direct and ask who the manager was, and then to speak to him - calling him by name. I'd explain to him the situation as it happened, exactly as you did here, including a description of the member of staff concerned. I would stress to him how you were made to look and feel in front of anyone who happened to be in the store and how upset you still are by the incident. I am positive you will get a result. DO NOT LEAVE IT. Please for your own peace of mind.
And if you can't face doing it yourself, have you someone who could make the call for you?0 -
No - but the title needs to changeI phoned tescos to let them know about their anti-bac kitchen spray which Ive bought 3 times recently and every single time its leaked all over my other stuff. I was told to take it to the store, I did the woman at CS took it off me and said "what am I meant to do with it" I was like, I dunno really, maybe you could give me a replacement? She just walked off and ignored me.
While I was on the phone I thought Id mention that Ibought some of those "food to share" bacon & cheese straws and chive potato skins and they were so salty I couldnt eat them. Now I wasnt after a refund really ( altohugh it would have been nice) but more to alert them to a potantial problem with the batch, anyone with health problems could have been tipped over the edge with those. She took my address but Ive heard nothing
On a brighter note, I bought a pasty from a well known retailer had a genuine complaint about it, emailed them on saturday gone , adn was sent a £5 postal order, recieved yesterday. They acknowledged that there was a problem with thier process that they had heard about , but thought it was resolved, heres a fiver for letting us know. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
No - but it should be moved to another boardHas anyone ever complained to the easyGroup about any of their companies before?
I'm going to write letters to both Stelios and the CEO of easyMobile about my experience with them, will provide an update if anything happens0 -
NoI've got a complaint with FILA (son's trainers fell apart- sadly don't have the receipt so I thought I would go straight to top) anyone have a name or contact for them please?
Thanks0 -
NoI have had quite a bit of trouble from npower over the past 6 months.
They had mistakely put me on some sort of regular payment scheme when I moved house and even though I was paying my bills within days of receiving them they were sending me quite nasty letters saying they would be refering me to their debt collection people for not making regular payments (even though I had never agreed to do this.)
Anyway, I wrote a letter of complaint last quarter and received a £20 credit on my account and a letter apologising for there error assuring me it had all been sorted out. Well this quarter - a letter arrives saying yet again they are going to refer me to the debt collection agency for not making regular payments, (I had again paid my bill within days of receiving it.) I wrote another letter and hey presto - received a CHEQUE for £50!!
I seem to be on a bit of a money spinner but I thought I would save myself any future hassle and switched to Powergen last week (using the MSE link earning £12.50 cashback) and in the post today received 3 diff types of energy saving light bulbs and a yr's supply of carbon monoxide detectors from Powergen. Here's to a long and happy relationship!0 -
NoI have done quite well with a few complaints I have made
Felix - opened one of the Foil Cat Food trays and it looked and smelled awful - and Moggy turned his nose up - emailed and got £4 in vouchers and a really nice email.
Boots - Forgot to give my advantage card and remembered at the last minute and the assistant was really rude and told me I was too late! I emailed and got 250 advantage card points and an apology email.
Silvikrin - emailed to ask why I could not get a product any more - emailed to say product discontinued and sent me £5 voucher.
