Just recieved £10 gift card for Co-op after a sales assistant was rude to me when i asked for her help.

Also bought a Naked face mask from Boots and it smelled really bad, I complained via the website and got a load of freebies and a sweet letter.

i emailed Innocent smoothies about a smoothie that tasted fizzy. they asked for the product code (which i hadn't got. who keeps mouldy smoothie in their fridge??) and where i bought it, how long i had been opened/out of the fridge. they sent me 5 £2 vouchers

complained to pampers about leaking nappies. they sent me a £9 voucher

complained to hotel chocolat about a box of chocolates I'd recieved that had bloomed (white marks) and they sent me a replacement box. but because they took so long to answer my email via their website, i found another direct email address and emailed that one too. which resulted in me getting a second box of chocolates. all in all it worked out to be about 34 quids worth of very very nice chocolate!

emailed green & blacks about a dodgy chocolate bar i'd bought from tesco. again, they asked for a product code which i didn't have, but they sent me a replacement bar with a very sweet handwritten note saying they hoped I enjoyed it.

i've only recently started complaining about things, but so far i've had very nice responses from the companies i've complained to. which is surprising, as they usually seem to be so rude if you go back to the store to complain

I emailed Colgate about a dodgy toothbrush. The bristles were fused together to form a very sharp edge. Not good for the gums at all. A nice chap phoned me back within 5 minutes and then posted me £4 worth of vouchers. Fantastic customer service.

I also complained to B&Q about an awful experience whilst shopping in the local store. They investigated well and I received a phonecall from the branch Manager. No compensation but I was pleased the person involved was dealt with. Apparently everything is filmed in B&Q and they can replay anything back to prove the facts. The look on my face would have said it all LOL

I complained to Muller last year because one of their yoghurts had no flavouring in and they sent me £5 worth of vouchers! That's a lot of yoghurt, I tell you!

I complained to Saltrock too (surf wear company) as I bought a backpack and within weeks one of the straps had come away from the bag. I sent them pictures, but never recieved a reply. Very disappointed with them :(

Oh and, a few weeks ago our bed broke so we had to buy a new one. Went to a little store, found a nice bed and mattress, ordered them and were told they'd be delivered on the Monday. Well, the delivery men came and brought the wrong frame and mattress! We called up straight away to tell them, and the lady said she'd call back soon. Ten minutes later she called back and said " don't worry, if you like what was delivered you can keep that instead! It's worth more than what you ordered too, haha!" Brilliant! :D

Hi spurred on by this thread I emailed NEXT last night as I had a code for free delivery when I placed an order and somehow I could not find where to put it on the website. I emailed customer servce and had a reply today saying

"Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding the competition code you
    would like to enter.

This can be input in the reference code box under the account number and
post-code field on the home page.

I have input the code you quoted and you will qualify for the promotion."

I didnt give them any code just said I had a code for free delivery and it wasnt a competition code either! However I have managed to get free delivery, and I also went through quidco for 4% off.

I wondered if it was because I went through quidco but tried it without and still cant find a box for promotional codes.

As I still can`t enter any codes and I used to be able to, I was wondering if anybody knows why - oh and i`ve cleared my cookies?

My GHD hair straighteners broke. They were a year and a half old and the guarantee is only for a year. I called GHD and they said to send them back to see if they could be repaired. I did some research online and found they tend to charge a lot of money to repair them or £10 to send your broken ones back to you.

Instead I sent them back with a letter of complaint saying that I was extremely disappointed in their supposedly high quality product, that the straighteners were obviously faulty and please could they repair or replace them and they sent me out new ones straight away,

I was very pleasantly surprised. I think I'll have to write them a thank you letter now!
