Complaint Letter Successes

I recently complained to showcase cinemas, I went to their Bluewater theatre and sat in the gallery - it's almost £15 per ticket and all the upholstry was ripped and it clearly hadn't been cleaned since the previous sitting. There was also a huge queue to get your free snacks and drinks so I sent them a letter telling them what I thought and they invited me back with 2 complementary free passes to the gallery!0

No - but it should be moved to another boardAt the beginning of this post, someone asked about a template for a complaint letter. (So sorry, I should have copied the name!). How relevant this is, I cant say, but years ago, one of my jobs involved replying to complaint letters. Back then, I was told short and sweet, maximum 4 paragraphs, and should be: Open, Information, Action, End. So -
Open with something like: I visited your store / bought your product from ... on (whatever date).
Information would be something like: Unfortunately, I found / something happened / this occured.
Action could be along the lines of: Can you reassure me that this wont happen again / will you be able to take steps to ensure (blah) can be recified. And....
End could be along the lines of: Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my letter / I trust this information will be useful ....
I've always found that the shorter you make your letter, the more likely it is to be read! (people dont get the opportunity to get bored and give up!)
And it's always nice to read when something goes right! When you read complaints letters all day long, it can really brighten someones day when you say something nice!I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum

I emailed the credit card division of Morgan Stanley a few days ago after receiving my bill with a competition offer that was about to expire (to enter you had to ring customer services then spend money on your card).
They credited £20 to my account. I was quite pleased as if I'd entered I most probably wouldn't have won anything.0 -
does anyone know the email for complaints for Toshiba?
I bought a laptop from them, and it has been in and out of the service centre 6 times, for various problems.
not funny, as the laptop is used for business and it is very inconvenient.
once, the laptop came back without a HDD bracket, and the guy basically implied that i took the HDD bracket out and am trying to claim for a new one.
this time, the laptop was sent for repair for hardware pronlem, and came back with a cooling fan error!! (despite it being classed as 'repaired') contacted them, and it took them 1 week to get back to me!! (its a business laptop!!)
am feeling flipping annoyed, as i paid £1150++ for the bloody thing.0 -
NoIf you get your money back I suggest a Dell one. The customer service we have had is so good, can't praise them enough![STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

NoDoes anyone know either the address to complain to Superdrug or Signature? I bought a signature smoothie maker there a few weeks ago and plugged it in the other day, it doesn't work and there are no addresses stated on it to write to the manufacturer.
So disappointed as I'd been wanting a smoothie maker for 2 years, should've known better I guess. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. NoAnyone had a problem with Homeserve connected to Yorkshire Water? I was offered one years free cover for £1.00 ( will go into more details if necessary) then found out it was only for three months. Had been debited with the money. (nearly £50) went out quarterly only get my statements six monthly. Anyway to cut a long story short rang up and got all my money back plus interest of 8%. Apparently Yorkshire water did the cold calling and homeserve do not have the recordings. I was a bon fide you will get a years free and didn't anyone else have this problem ring up.
I must admit thought they were the best customer services I have spoken to in a long time. Got my money back and actually thought I would go with them again even though they messed up they were soo ooooo helpfull.
Any q'stions give me a bell.0 -

I would just take it bake to Superdrug as that's where you bought it. Let them have the hassle of returning it to Signature.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
