Not heard anything from Martin, would the original single parent pm me & I'll send a cheque. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
Stabilo, you won't hear anything as m.s.e / martin don't condone sharing of info..but you could p.m the O.P and ask her.
It was a lovely suggestion, and if you get a response let me know as I'd like to offer some money too

As much as I appreciate you trying to help someone (and I mean that), I really don't think this should carry on, can we now close this thread before it goes too far? I think it's highly unfair for other people.1 John 4: 7 & 80

There is a difference between getting a free holiday from pontins and accepting money effectively off strangers to pay for one.
I dont understand y u would want to give money to someone u dont know anyway.

I totally agree. A lot single parents have financial and other problems including myself (my 12yr old son is disabled), but on the other hand so do many 2 parent families who work for minimum wage.
It was a really nice offer, but i'm sure it's just going to cause a lot of problems and bad feeling.

A gift should never receive resentment. In fact this action should be applauded, especially as someone quite correctly pointed out that they do not even know this person.
If only all of us could give what we could afford then this world would be a better place instead of these people who hoard. Bill Gates, $48 billion?! how can he ever spend that much in a life time?
So please don't begrudge someone who is going that one step further in helping another human being. Triple Karma points to you guys/gals!!0 -
I just rang and was told none available, then I rang back again and got asked for the answers and given options of holidays at Hemsby, Prestatyn and Camber sands for mon-friday holidays starting 3/7 or 10/7 so if they say sold out ... phone again and see what the next person says.
I have managed to get a cheap deal directly with the centre I wanted this weekend which works out cheaper than the alternate half price offer they mention if you ask for alternative.
Hope this helps and some of you can snap these holidays up.0 -

It isn't being given resentment. I'm going to be really blunt here and I'm no doubt going to offend many people but it's not meant in an agressive way.
There are tons of us who are in a position where we can't afford a hoilday, all for different reasons but none more important than the other. This gift has been given very publically and infront of faces of the group who are all in similar cirumstances. In my opinion this is favouritism. If people wished to give donations to a particular person, they should've done it privately and certainly not in full view of everyone else. Why on earth should such a generous gift be given in public?!1 John 4: 7 & 80
