Glad DH has a job even if it isn't his ideal one! It will be nice to see Gordon and your parents again. The old deposit is also a big help too - see what you can do when you put your mind to it! Well done you!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just a quick post from down south.
Gordon is doing very well and much more like a doggy rather than a fat puppy... he's still pretty fat though, and obviously remembers who we are.....
Been out into town with my mum today, and god love her, she's spoilt baby and me rotten. The amount of stuff they have for him is mindblowing and theyve done it all in true mse fashion (very proud).
Got 21 items in charity shop earlier for £7! Will post more details about the bargains when Im back home. We're going to go through it all and write up a list but I dont think he'll be needing any more clothes for a while!
And 20 week scan went well, confirmed as a boy... got a peeved with sonographer. Although she did mention she would get on quietly she literally didnt say a thing to us for 20 minutes, plus I couldnt see the screen properly, so if it wasnt for the fact that I moved myself and say heartbeat, i would have freaked out!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Hi. Am glad the scan went well, what did your DH think when he saw the baby on the screen, bet he was amazed, it really is a lovely thing to see.
Have fun at your parents, sounds like they have got some good stuff for you, I love looking in the RSPCA charity shop up the road here as I always come away with something, got the girls some school jumpers/cardigans for 50p each, they are £10.99 in the shop to buy new, so doesn't matter if these ones get ruined or lost.
Enjoy the rest of your time with your parents and especially little Gordon, we had OH's brothers dog here last Sunday for the day and it was nice to see him again, but he is massive and fatter than last time we looked after him in the Summer. I do miss having a dog.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Nice to see you back again.
What a pain about the ambo job. Can he ask for feedback, to see where he can improve?
hope the various refunds, and people answer your emails, so you can get sorted
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hey Chevy'
long time.....
Just awaiting the gym one to turn up and then wages shouldnt be a problem. Saw DH's parents today, theyve just got themselves a puppy so that was fun.
Have now got a list of everything ive got so far for baby....
As for the ambo job, it was more a practical issue and confusion over a license. He thought he had an entitlement on his license, but apparently its only if you passed before 1997 that you automatically have it. Otherwise you have to have a medical and sit an exam. And it was just that. She did tell him to apply again at easter, and he'd get through so if the fire service falls through, we can do that. My parents even offered him the money for the exam/medical etc
Still have tooth/jaw ache but have stopped being a martyr and have taken two paracetamol. had a horrid nights sleep last night so dont really want more of the same tonight. Always hurts the most at night though......Wealth is not measured by currency0
