even better is the fact that ive not paid for any of it!!! LOL
House viewing was really pants, and im really disappointed. Letting agent couldnt get the door open, and then I couldnt get it closed behind us. Had no cooker, no bath, and then the second room (bubby's room) had mouldy bits on the ceiling....
Walked round it for 5 minutes and then left.......
But sis's partners friend (keep up! LOL) who is fixing their garage, owns a few properties, and he has one come up for rent, but its more than we were looking at payingbut we wouldnt have to go through an agent, and we might be able to get away with a lower deposit.....
We would get some help with housing benefit so we wouldnt be paying the whole amount.....
not sure whether to go and look at it or not. i've seen photos of the houses he's done before, and he does do them to top end, but im scared if I look at it I'll want itlol

Oh shame that it was pants, but I'm sure you'll find something soon that you like. Yeah, tricky one that, if you can't affort it, don't go and have a look, cos when you've seen something really nice, even the good ones will pale in the shadow of that. Good luck!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

i know you're right but so far all bar one of the house we've been to see in that price range has been scabby as hell....
I mean we can afford (from dh's wages) to pay £350 rent (which is what we've been looking at), but with HB contribution we could still pay that much and have the contribution as extra.......:o I dont know if that makes sense now ive typed it....
But I cant go having baby in a house which borders on a complain from h&s!

Yes, it makes sense. I had to up my rent to get somewhere nice, wasn't willing to carry on living in an 'ok' place, wanted something nicer...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

yeah... just a bit... scary.... LOL
But in about 6 weeks i'll be able to apply for my maternity allowance which I think is something like £123 a week....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
We pay a scarey amount in rent but I am very happy to bring a baby here. We saw some cheaper places but I wasn't too enthused with the area
The maternity allowance will make a huge diffference to you and you will have some more money to pay off debts etc. When the baby is born you will also get child benefit and child tax benefit.
I would find out the price before you go looking - then you won't be disappointed!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
