What to do, slur on car!

Hi everyone. Bit of advice please

Last night someone wrote on our car ' Dirty White Basteredz get out!' ( spelt like that )

Not sure what to do, I have reported it but don't hold much hope as it is scraped out in ice/snow. I have taken pics just in case someone responds to the report.

Also before this 3 men tried to purposely intimidate us by stopping us driving the car around a corner ( by standing infront moving each time by partner steered round and gesturing to us) I have added this to the report as no one else was subject to them. Thinking they walked down the road p****d that we didnt respond and did this but no proof. Doesn't seem co incidental, not really any issues before.

Do not really want this to escalate by actions as we cannot afford to move away (rented) but no one should put these kind of comments or do this to anyone.

Any Advice?

Just sounds like you've got some really bored neighbours. The slur doesn't really matter...as you say it's in snow and can wipe off. Blocking your car is just childish...and they're looking for a reaction. Never show any signs of being annoyed, if they do it again just sit there and wait patiently. They'll soon get bored.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the police. There's no violence, and having police turn up at their door to have a word is going to give them more reason to dislike you.

The other approach would be to get out the car and put a tyre wench around each one of their heads. Depends how immediately you want the problem to stop.

Very disturbing, my sympathies to you both.

May I ask if the incident was very close to your home. Would it be possible to park somewhere else nearby temporarily? do you have another entrance to your property?

I am inclined to agree with proc as i think no reaction is better in the long run as they will get bored.
My mum was always arguing with her neighbour and had her car burnt out in the night, i used to tell her over and over to just ignore them and that's what happened.
obviously if it gets worse and escalates then yes you would need to take it further but at the moment i would see if ignoring them works.

Sounds nasty Gothic Girl, and you have done right by reporting it. Just make sure you are very careful and dont go out alone for the immediate future. If it was a group trying to be funny then you should be ok, but sounds like a racist attack. What area do you live in?

Thanks for your inspiring post. I'm really not sure how "condoning racism" came into this. The fact of the matter is, her neighbours have found time to go into their road, walk down the middle of the road, and disrupt someone else's travel. This sounds like a pretty mundane thing to do, and if that's the most entertaining thing that they could think of doing...well....they must be very very bored.

I see you jump on the over-used racism bandwagon. Then you talk to me about political correctness? Get a life you pompous pr1ck because I don't appear to be condoning anything.

I bet the police would have done something if you had run the idiots down? Just a thought.
I get sick and tired of hearing about skanks getting away with treating others in this way, why should they get away with it?

:rotfl:this is so obviously a regular who is to cowardly to say what they think and is using a different i.d. instead.

No one is condoning anything, we are giving our opinion on what we would do in the situation.
Think about it,if you were a bored teen with nothing to do and you were winding people up, who would you go back to day after day?

The ones who ignored you and didn't react or the ones who did react?? What would be more exciting??

Hi Thanks for everyone's responses.

The corner the first part happened is about 50 odd houses down at the top of the road.

Good idea about parking elsewhere as there is no parking so we are on the road outside our door. I am definately one of the 'ignore them til they go away' but it has got me un nerved due to them knowing where we live.

I'm not quite willing to say where we are but its in Birmingham. I reported it online as there is no violence involved I am not expecting a response but at least that way I know that I have reported it if it escalates.

Unfortunately there is no other way into our property.

I must make clear even though it should not make a difference we was on the way home from work so we were not wearing anything 'alternative' thought i'd better say due to my username.:rotfl:

Why do you think they are picking on you?
And do you think it is the same group of people? How often do you meet them? (you mentioned it was 50 odd houses down the road when they blocked your car...)

Try and ignore it as best as you can. But keep a diary of things that happen just in case it isn't a one-off people being bored situation.
Also do you know any of the neighbours well enough to ask if they have had anything like that happen to them?
