    I was kind of strong.....

I spent £19 in Boots and then went and bought two tops, some cropped trousers and a load of undies.

I only got my washing powder though and nothing else and I've bought commission free euros.

And I've got a load of leftover pizza for lunch!

If I have any spare TT tickets I will definitely offer them to the lovely people on this thread (OM, Bunny)! But suddenly I am strangely popular with friends and family members....

I'm going to Birmingham on 16th November.

I am having a busy day because I spent the morning mystery shopping (thanks to OM for putting me onto that one) and am now at my 'real' job until late tonight. Hope everyone else is having a good weekend, and I'll be putting my feet up tomorrow if family will allow it (doubtful!)

  • Hi OM

Just wanted to wish you luck on your holiday - just think of it as time away from Cruella! I hope you have fun.

And I apologise for hijacking your thread, but I'm so chuffed today - NatWest have offered me £1667 of my £1706 claim and I didn't even have to threaten court. (Of course this isn't extra money - just less of an overdraft!) It's all down to MSE and the lovely people on here.

    Bye for now

WELL DONE! Getting that much back without going to the court stage is a brilliant result!

The pinnacle of my day today DFW -wise is having a no spend day. The weather is awful.

I keep popping on to ebay for a last minute top for my holiday - i've kind of gone into panic mode that I don't have enough to wear, but I know I do and so far today i've managed to resist!

If I can get to tomorrow I know it will be too late to guarantee getting stuff to me by post delivery Wednesday.

What are we going to do without you whilst you are away?

    We'll miss you, sigh.

I land back on the 16th.

How will I last 8 nights without MSE and all my DFW friends?!!

I promise I will log on in an internet cafe at least once, just so you know i'm being MSE abroad!

Might need to let off steam if my OH is being a pain!

Two years ago I went mad and bought a lovely leather Gladstone bag and a beautiful leather jacket when I went to Spain It cost a fortune. i've used the bag three or four times and I don't regret buying that but i've never worn the jacket!

I will need you all to keep me on the straight and narrow - just in case I drink too much sangria and buy something I probably won't ever need!
  • You have your euros so shouldn't need to use any cards while you are away. However, you'll need 1 for an emergency. Are you self catering? If so, freeze your credit card in a dish and DO NOT DEFROST until you go home unless it's an emergency!!!!

(The shoes that match your jacket that you've never worn are NOT an emegency ;) )

BTW, have a great time. I've just had 5 days in Spain and the weather was FABULOUS :j :j :j :j
