Muchos Sangria for little euros :rotfl: :rotfl:
Go girl!! :T :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Had too muchos sangrias last night - two jugs full. I wanted OH to relax a bit by plying him with alcohol but it didn´t seem to work. Spent 40 euros yesterday - OUCH! However, the attack of the Spanish mosquito has given me a number of nasty itchy bites and so 13 euros had to be invested in repellant and also a STOP THE DAMN ITCHING NOW cream.
OH looks bored and apathetic and is spending a fair few hours in the room each day reading or doing sudoku which is fine, but when we are 100 metres from the beach it would be nice for us to be sitting on a bench reading there.
Spent 2 euros on a paper today but other than that i´m aiming for a no spend day. There is lots of very cheap wine in the room now (90p a litre!!!) and I think we are staying at the hotel as OH wants to watch the Man United match on Eurosport later.
The sun is shining so I´m off to sit by the pool.0 -
Leave him in the room to sulk and be boring.
You go out and find yourself a nice senor.....must be some spanish hunks out there just ready and waiting for a nice girl like you
Have fun - you deserve it xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Glad to hear you haven't forgotten us on your travels. More Sangria is called for methinks.
Hope the irritation improves.
Oh and good luck with the mozzie bites - I like the name of the cream.:rotfl:0 -
HYPNO_06!
Sorry - just noticed how well you have done with the matched betting and just have a really quick question. Am I right in thinking that it bascially works like this:
1: Find a bet e.g. Norwich v Arsenal
2: Find odds on it at Coral
3: Make sure odds are as closely matched as poss at Betfair (if not change bet altogether and find one that does match across both)
4: Put the lay on at Betfair.
5: Wait for the money!!
Is it best to go for the lay bet being the outcome you really want to happen?
best wishes,

I'm back!! Ola!! :j
And I'm flippin' freezing! i've put my fleece and resisted the urge to put the heating on, weird as it is so sunny and spring like here.
Well, other than being woken up at 5.45am by a load of fireworks going off to mark the beginning of the 'fiesta of noise' the journey back was fine. Still have the £50 of sterling I took with me, but did go a bit mad somehow over the last 48 hours and I think I've only got about £40 worth of euros left. Although I have a fridge full of very cheap cherry brandy, pina colada mix, cartons of 90p a litre wine etc etc!
No nasty surprises in the post,it felt nice to know there would be no credit card or catalogue bills to come back to.
The bank haven't refunded any of the £340 I requested so I'll putting in a court claim tomorrow or Sunday, once I've finished the mountain of washing!
Citi haven't provided me with the documentation as instructed by the Judge to a letter to the court will be needed for them.
Done a small online shop at Asda for delivery on Sunday, need to look at the budget for the rest of the month and see what I need.
As expected there was a letter from Cruella in amongst all the junk mail (although I don't give it much more respect than a piece of junk mail!)
On the last afternoon I was in work before my holiday she was pushing me to make a decision about my position within the re-structure. Although I had only received the final bits of information an hour previously, she only gave me 2 hours to make a decision and was obviously hoping to push me into a corner. I replied by email saying that as I had only just received the information I would give a reply the day I returned to work. She replied she wasn't willing to wait until then. I replied I would give her my repy on the 19th as it had taken two weeks for all the information to be given to me and both the union and HR felt giving my decision was a reasonable suggestion.
Her long and rambling letter basically tried to cover herself by saying she gave me 2 weeks and then an extension to the 5th and then I still didn't tellher. She is trying to make it look like I was the one stalling, but I have emails showing I was in the right all along.
she wants to see me Monday at 9.00. I'll have a very carefully worded letter for her in response.....;)0 -
