Hey Oakdale_Minx
Just wanted to say how gripped I have been reading your diary. I've only just discovered this site, and forums, and have spent most of the last three days (between work assignments - I'm a freelancer writer) following your posts. This is my first post!
A lot of people have said that your journey is an inspiring one, and they're absolutely right. I felt a massive wave of happiness for you when I read the entry (from just an hour ago) which stated that you've cleared your unsecured debts. A big well done from me for that - I think it's an absolutely terrific achievement.
I also know how it feels to be in a less than ideal job situation. My last full time job was in an advertising agency, where I was completely misunderstood professionally by almost everyone (I was/am a marketing copywriter, specifically) including my immediate boss. He didn't know what to do with me, and when we moved offices he 'forgot' to put me with the rest of the creative team. I got so isolated that I left and went freelance.
Anyway, enough about me... I shall get round to posting in another thread about my debt stuff (£45,000-ish unsecured and counting, with no regular income - eek!) as thanks to you and others on this site I have decided to start throwing time, energy and effort at my debts.
Thanks for being inspiring, thanks for sharing, thanks for offering kind words and constructive advice to others even when your day was going to the dogs...
...and thanks for the link to the chocolate beetroot cake recipe, I love it!

Oh my God! I've been following this all the way through and forgot about the chocolate beetroot cake - 3 words that represent 3 of the finest foodstuffs on Earth!
Please can someone post the link again?
