Have you tried any of the Lush ones, they are fab. Not particularly cheap, but vary from £10 upwards, and are made from natural stuff, and are very effective. My favourite is Paradise regained £24.96, although I love Celestial £10.03.

I did (I remember writing it so must have posted it somewhere on the boards!)

I tried Celestial first- gave me horrible spots! I then spoke to another store/online and got to test samples (a few days worth) of Imparitus and Skin Drink- both of which also gave me spots! I was determind to get a cream that worked so took the Celestial back to the original store where the fantastic Lush women gave me a whole pot of Vanishing cream to use! And its great! I use it as a night cream as I find its a nice texture for overnight- can really feel the oils yet does not clog my skin or cause spots! I do think there is a cream for everyone and apparently mine is the one with a low oil content and added witch hazel for anti-bac properties.
I'd love to try georgous but I'm not able to afford the price tag!

Has Clarins got parabens in then? I just assumed that it did. DH got me a gift card for Xmas but was trying to eliminate nasty chemicals on my hair/skin/cleaning.

I think it has parabens in, its mineral oils my skin doesn't like- only some of Clarins products have mineral oils in and I have to look first- they do only use a very tiny amount to begin with anyway though so less of a reaction if I am going to get a reaction-and I normally steer clear!

I don't use cleansers/toners etc as I'm completely ignorant to them!

My routine from my early teens to my mid 20's (now) is a warm wet flannel, with no soap, in the bath or shower to exfoliate followed by my Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Invigorating Day Cream to moisturise and well, that's it!

To take make-up off I use Boots Baby Soft Wipes Fragrance Free (which are always on offer) and baby oil to moisturise on wet skin after my bath/shower.

Vaseline is great for eyelashes too!

Another favourite is Burts Bees. It may not seem cheap at first, but it is natural, and a little goes a long way. I bought a kit containing mini skincare samples for approx £15, while pregnant with with my second child, and I was still using up stuff a year later.

I have combination skin, and find that using just my normal moisturiser - Weleda Iris day cream at the mo - on my T-zone, and adding a couple of drops of facial oil to the cream for my drier cheeks works well. It gives me a more glow-ey look.

For natural moisturer brands, I like Avalon organics lavender moisturiser (about £8) from YourHealthFoodStore - not all that MSE, but I think it's a lovely cream for the price.

I also love the 'Beauty Bible' series of books, and recently bought the Beauty Steals one. I do now find that I'm much happier with the products I buy..but the books make me all excited about going out and buying products....so maybe not very MSE...but I recommend them!

I'm like that with the Beauty Steal book too! Unfortunately I feel as though I can justify my spending because it's a 'steal' :D
