Contract - do I have any rights?

*sigh* I have pretty much been forced to move out of halls because the noise is now affecting my health and studies.
I asked what would happen if I couldn't afford to pay rent on both places even with LHA of £91 a week. (I would have to find at least another £110 per week) I got told it wouldn't be a problem if I could find someone to take over my room.
However, I can't. I have no choice but to move out. (someone has also taken to stealing my food now:mad:)
I asked accommodation office what would happen if I couldn't afford to pay the rent (they want £2300 BEFORE loans come through) and got told I would face court.
Do I have any rights here? It seems wrong that I'm basically being penalised for having such inconsiderate hallmates.
I have around £80 (after rent) to live on. I also receive DLA; but this is only LRC and I have to use that for things such as extra washing.

Yes its fair.
Tbh its entirely reasonable when in halls to expect noise of ridicolous levels. If you didnt you probably should pack in studies as you lack basic common sense.
You agreed to the terms and if you fail to meet them they can take legal action to recover their losses.
I would also add they will probably withhold services and qualifications until debts are settled.0 -
I can not for the life of me believe that students are noisy neighbours. Just get some ear plugs, ear muffs, play some music, or whatever to drown out the noise.0

Can't wear earplugs and they never help either.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I know some don't wake up until 4pm. It's not unusual for one of them to be getting up at 2pm - I've usually been up for about 5 hours then.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I think you may be a square peg in a round hole. Did you really not expect this?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

What, you got no ears?
Seriously, I get the impression that you're going to bring up an objection to every solution we offer. It sounds like you've moved into student halls, can't afford it, and now you're looking for a way to move out.
Did you honestly believe before you moved in that you wouldn't be disturbed at silly times in the night by other students? If you really believed that it would be peaceful then stop studying now, because your degree will be worthless when interviewers realise that you've got no common sense.0 -

I CAN afford it; but not £110 plus a week especially on a place I am not living in plus another place.
I do have ears; but ear plugs seriously mess them up and it's the reason why I get blocked ears.
I didn't expect that my health would get so bad that I need the amount of sleep I do.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
