Interesting thread, we booked for centerparcs a couple of days ago for next weekend. Then it started to snow, and I regretted not buying the insurance.
I had just come on 'tinternet to see if I could buy the insurance from centerparcs today, just in case the snow is any worse next week, having read here that their insurance doesnt cover this, I guess ive saved some money, as that was the only reason I was going to buy it.
I hope the snow clears enough for you to get there this weekend, most main roads seem passable now, and Im just keeping my fingers crossed that we dont get more snow next week!0 -

Didn't some bloke in the States try to Sue God recently?
The ONLY reason it failed was that the summons must be delivered, and God has no address.
EDIT: Found it

EDIT (again),
Is the OP a retard to type in capitals and have a signature that she is NOT SHOUTING???
I thought this was a one off error, not the norm.0 -
i understand the weather restrictions and the act of god business but how can they shut 'their' road and not offer you a refund. if you cant actually access their parc its a bit much isnt it x0
-
Are you sure you can't get a refund if "their" road is shut? We were there just before christmas and they cancelled all our outdoor activities because of snow and refunded immediately. Couldn't have had better service.0

If you legitimately are unable to get there because of road conditions, I would definitely write to the Chief Executive and anybody else you can. This is ridiculous. You should be able to at least change your dates if they wont give you a refund. I would phone again & insist on speaking to a Manager, but definitely get a letter inthe post immediately to support your request.0

I'm not sure if this will help, but my friend was staying at Whinfell during the terrible winds in January a few years ago now and they all had to be sent home. They were allowed to book another weekend later in the year at no extra charge. I expect that was also classed as an act of god. So maybe you won't get a refund but you possibly might still get a holiday albeit at a different date. Why don't you telephone them and find out?0

Does anyone know what it's like there at the moment? We're due to go to Oasis Whinfell on Monday, I hope we can get there!0
