I'm a little nervous... and clueless

I had bright pink knickers on when I went :rotfl:0

Well... I went in, and I think I have picked my dress. It's Romantica Yolanda... as seen here... http://www.pronuptiamidlands.co.uk/romantica_yolanda.html I'm a little unsure just because it's not what I thought I'd have and I haven't tried many on but I just really like it. (And the pic doesn't do it justice.) (And without being bigheaded my waist looks much more shapely than hers when it's pulled in)
Guess how much it's going to set me back (small village bridal shop, can't find it on line as yet but still searching)Bump due 22nd September0 -
Oh dear. I thought I wanted that dress as above however I think I have fallen in love with another... http://www.pronuptiamidlands.co.uk/alfred_angelo_1136.html
Can get it from the states for about £500, but with a free bridesmaid dress (strange?)
Or can get it from Landy http://www.landybridal.com/Product/Pro3119.html for Euro145.
Would like to get it in the UK though but don't want 2nd hand and have no idea if I could afford it other wise!!! Oh dear oh dear!!Bump due 22nd September0 -
They're both gorgeous!
Have you looked at the Alfred Angelo on their website, it shows the detail much better. They're both gorgeous!0 -
from the pics i prefer the alfred angelo one I think
why dont you phone round some local bridal shops to see if they have it...you never know you might be able to negotiate a good priceMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
Thank you Yellow Bug, that's the answer I needed to hear.
I am going to crack on with that now!
Bubbles - I have looked at it on their website and it is gorgeous, I think it is a much more delicate and pretty detail on the Alfred one. I'm going to call it Alfie if I get it!
For the record - The other one was £800 reduced to £275 - If anyone particularly wanted it at that price PM me for the shop cos it's the last one and I can't find it cheaper online!Bump due 22nd September0 -
I have rang around... £850 seems to be the standard price :-(
I think I may cry!Bump due 22nd September0 -

Try ringing around and asking if they have that dress as a display/sample for B2B to try on, then ask if you could leave your details if they decide to put into a sample sale? Try Ebay too, (select UK only) and you will see masses of dress on there, and as there are so many the prices are very low! ETA I know you said you didn't want 2nd hand, but a lot of dresses on Ebay are new (brides buying different dress, weight loss/gain etc):rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Both dresses are beautiful, but that second one is stunning- have you looked round at any others though...? I agree with looking on ebay for second hand too x0

This one looks the same as the one you want, BUT her price is way too high for ebay, suggest watching it, and see if she relists at a lower price, or offer to BIN for a lower price??
