My Brother went to work this morning roads ok and got there with a bit of snow..tried to leave to go home an hour later and the roads are closed in every direction...he is stuck at work  worst nightmare come true!

  • I'm back. It's lovely out there - crisp and sunny- but the roads are a nightmare.
Mum was niggling that she would like to go out for lunch as she's been housebound since New Year's Day. This is the woman who won't walk or drive in the snow or ice. I ended up asking her if she was going to drive us and when she said no asking why she expected me or Dad to then. :D

Their cleaner fell over on the way so they revived her with coffee and sent her home again. Their cleaner is 73 by the way.

    My god, is she ok?
It was nice and sunny here earlier but it's really clouded over and it's snowing again now.
Do you feel better for getting out bookie?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I'd like you to come and give my neighbour some lessons. I dug him out on Sunday - Couldn't hear Mr Darcy proposing to Elizabeth over the sound of him spinning his wheels! Yesterday he got stuck diagonally on the hill outside the house so I couldn't get to work. Wonder if anyone's told him about going up the gears.

I'm back !! We had a long but very nice walk to drop DS off, then came back via the scenic route because it was so nice. My legs are sore now though, it's like walking through treacle.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
